Headline is Austin news paper today 1st of all being a transplanted New Yorker living in Texas I didn't even know what Sriracha was I guess its a pepper plant that you put on anything like a condiment.
My taste buds are terrible with hot sauces or pepper and I lose the taste of what ever I'm eating because all my taste buds are wiped out with spicy ingredients.. Anyway we go to a place here in Austin and I order a chicken fried steak . Its advertised with Sriracha on top of the steak So I tell the waiter put the Sriracha suuce on the sides My side dish is cole slaw. When the meal comes I taste my coleslaw.. They did put the hot sauce not on the side but in my side dish. One bite of my coleslaw and my tongue was about 200 degrees. Everyone at the table said you told the waitress you wanted it " on the side". My chicken fried steak never tasted good because despite 2 sodas , a lemon and water by buds were burnt . So when I saw todays headlines there is a shortage of " Coveted Sriacha here I'm ok with the shortage ..
