I can't bet georgtown,IMO they are a most undisciplined team ,I just can't put money on them to win a championship of any kind.If there big man has the kind of game he did in the semi's they will be tough to top...........................I don't think he can match that effort. They had a tough time breaking the luke warm press of Minn.,I think the St. Chubbies take advantage and I'm taking advantage of the +2 point's.

I'm looking for A CHUBB-STORM:eek:

Yeah, Jbird

I never got the chance to post yesterday but was at the garden chubbing my way onto the garden floor in celebration. Johnnies made me a lot of :drinky: money.

Yet another NIT championship!!

Wouldn't know or understand the feeling of euphoria in an NIT title. It just means your were the most disciplined, better focused team in a group of 32 who had terrible seasons and finished right around .500.

From a basketball talent standpoint...St. Johns is lacking in talent. They do provide hustle, offensive rebounding, and steals but from a dribbling, shooting, passing, man-man defense standpoint they are very average.

And I bet St. Johns.

In all do respect gjn, the chubbies did win 9 of their last 10,some of those team's were pretty togh out's, They also played the first part of the season without a point guard.........I'm not a huge St. Chubb fan or anything,I'm just trying to be realistic..........I do think there conference schedule was as tough as anyone else's in the country............................SO LET THEM AND THEIR FAN'S GET THERE CHUBB-ON;)

Well said Jbird

I do not want to get in a debate in your thread but St. Johns came together after that Duke victory and really performed well down the stretch. When its all said and done, they will be 1 of 2 teams with a championship and although it was not the NCAA championship, they could beat the majority of the 64 teams that were in it.

I definitely had my Chubb on last night:)

How many of those last 10 games were outside of the Garden (or wherever else St. Johns plays their home games)? I think zero.

As for them beating a majority of teams in the Big Dance.....not likely. They were around .500 for a reason, they're average. and I'd make a strong wager that had they been forced to play 1 or 2 games on the road in the NIT they would have lost.
