9 seems a high number for me...lets take a look :

Jason Marquis has been very solid on the road. Has a 1.55 ERA on the road this season, while the under is 6-2 in his eight outings this season.

Brett Myers has been something of a revelation for the Phillies. A 1.25 ERA at home in two starts against the Braves, and the Reds. The over is 4-1 in Myers last five home games, but this has been down to good run support which cannot be guaranteed against a pitcher of Marquis quality.

It is obviously a hitters ball park, and both bats are pretty hot. St.Louis are hitting 3.20 against righties recently, and I canot find out too much about the home plate ump, but I might take my chances on this total today.

Thoughts?? :mj14:

Do you care to offer an onpinion on why? Not saying you are on the wrong bet, but would like your reasoning as to why this is a 7 unit bet for you.

I agree. Should have gone under last night. Bought it up to 10. Lieber gives up two bombs in one inning. This should be a quick, low-scoring game. The chance they average more than a run an inning is well under fifty percent, I guess. May take it at 8 +110. Best counter argument is that other Phi-Stl games have all gone over. But I think this is an under. I think there's a big chance Myers is on, and a better than average chance Marquis pitches well in sense of not blowing up like Lieber. Be careful of Abreu, and Thome's out. I like it under.

Well, a clean beat. Every inning a struggle. Betting to break the trend proved unwise. Congrats to 888.
