I've had the chance to watch both these teams play. Seton Hall pressures all over the court trying to force turnovers and then gets easy buckets off of them. They are not great in their half court set. They have some big bodies that board, but they haven't really had other big bodies to go against. St. Mary's has some big guys that will bang with these guys. St. Mary's has a freshman guard, Mills, from Australia that is unreal. He killed Oregon dropped 37 on them and only had 1 turnover. This kid is getting no press and he runs the show and scores if you don't play him. He's small...but is a great player.

This kid will shred Seton Hall's pressure. He is lightning quick and makes every right decision. What's better is that St. Mary's wants to play fast so they won't pull it out or even think twice about taking the transition three.

St. Mary's is also one of the most difficult places in the country to play and it's sold out. The crowd is right on top of the court.

I obviously love this play.

Any thoughts out there?

i think you're on the right side here. seton hall is 6-0, including a win over virginia, yet they're getting 9 points from st mary's? :scared i was very impressed with st mary's against oregon. one factor always important with a medium-sized favorite is how do they hit free throws? and st mary's is hitting 75% so far this year. mills (primary ballhandler) is hitting 96% (25 out of 26.

going to paste this from tig..

the hall has one of the BE best pt gds in Harvey.Laing,Nutter and Harvey scored almost 50% of there pts lyr and all 3 are back.Gause another gd is a great defensive player...Bobby G coaching..pressing etc...I was at the game last yr when Hall won in OT..I think???they won...can't see mary winning by 9. Like Hall here a lot..Hall's frontline is a question...Loved the Simpson kid and they had a huge frosh kid..Hall is quicker and I remember Halls press gave mary's all sorts of problems..

I know the Mills kid is an impact player.. now you have me scared..lyr mary had so many problems bringing the ball up.I sat court side at the Meadowlands and watched this game..Simpson was so smooth and impressed me.a silent scorer...I'll go back to the drawing board..but still sticking to my hall..good write up..

Thanks for the posts guys. Usually (even though I don't post as much as you) we are on the same side Box. So this worries me a bit. Mills is super. If you get a chance to watch this game, as a coach you'll love him. Not sure if it's on TV or not. I've been waiting for someone to mention his name as an impact freshman, but not a word yet.
I do love your Hofstra play. I didn't play it at Wilma +4.5 because I thought the line was way off and it smelled fishy to me. Wilmington should win this game outright. Now the line is down to +2.5.

Best of luck guys.
