I have Boxwood shrubs along my front walk and as I walked by one today I walked right into a branch. It friggin hurt a little so I had a man tantrum and broke the branch off. As I went to throw it in my yard to teach it a lesson, I promptly got stung by two yellow jackets. One right next to my nipple and one on my arm. The frickin things drew blood. First blood, one might say. Needless to say, it's on now. On my way to ACE Hardware to load up on some agents of death for the rat bastards. Thought about pulling a Sportsaholic and trying to learn to co-exist with the invaders, but I wanted to maintain my alpha male status as well as be able to stand up to pee. Mother fu...............that shit hurts.

Oh yeah, they are all gone. Was quite the nest. Most of them lived I imagine but as of this morning, all had relocated to a better neighborhood.

When I was a teen I poured a bucket of boiling water down a hole in the ground nest of yellow jackets. I just knew they would be scalded to death.

They are some mean, vindictive wasps man. Years ago I was mowing the lawn and they had apparently established a nest underneath one of the doghouse's in the kennel area. I must have mowed over it because they came after me and anything that moved. Two dogs got stung several times before I got them and the rest of the animals either in the pool or the house. Those things frigging chased myself and any animal they could all over the damn yard for ten minutes it seemed like.
