Saw where you will have some guests this week on your site on new issues of spread betting and betting exchanges.
Can't speak for others but I am looking forward to it but as most here in U.S. am not very knowedgeble in those areas but would like to learn.
Do you think you could have Andy and Shaker stop by here or on your site and give a short basic 101 in these areas?
I know I would find it beneficial and am sure many others would. Thanks!

Looks like this is going to be a fun week!!! :D

Very interesting read about the exchanges. Just wish we had more options in the states. Maybe one day.

Be interesting to see how it goes...I never get in-running right!

Any thoughts on the general idea outlined in your column..

I've found that the quickest way to get your stakes limited for when you want a proper bet is to arb against Betfair by backing early on Mondays?

Hi Hoss (although i am sure i know you as some other name  )

yes, still buying although the firms have caught on a little on FPs and now prices are more "in the middle"

As stanley says, the guide for both the Exchanges and the spreads are online and i would hope to have a couple of initial plays on the Hong Kong event up tonight.

Just had chance to look at briefly as I have to head out of town early but will take time to try to digest it. Think there is good opportunity especially in fading players and hedging but will take time for this ole dog to learn new tricks--but have some solid foundations from these gents to build on, and I certainly appreciate their taking the time to tudor us yanks:)

I must say that is a very good read on your site Stan. Really had no idea how much more profitable the betting exchanges could be. This is my first year doing really well due to my switch to golf but I can only imagine how much fun it would be with this added dimension. How does tradesports rate in terms of betting exchanges? I believe thats the only US option at this time. I'm going to have to get a summer home in Vancouver BC. :D

you mean you have the same name over two forums Tut Tut. ;)

yep, now you mention the motor racing i remember a few discussions on the subject between a few of you fans.

not many people crossed over from SA to much else, apart from Ash who i still keep in contact with.

and to promote what i said earlier i have put up two FPs on Stan's site and both are SELLS :nono: :nono: :nono:

TU, I haven't looked at TradeSports in over a year, so I don't what they have been offering for PGA Tour events recently, but presumably they will have prices for buying and selling players once the season begins.

I have never played the interactives at WSEX, but if you can sell contracts without having to buy them first, then that is another means of closing out a trade without recourse to Betfair.

If TradeSports and WSEX are US alternatives to closing out trades via Betfair, then I will ask Shaker to look at them more closely once the PGA Tour season starts and see what he can recommend for people who cannot open a Betfair account.

The real key to his strategy is to find a standout outright price on Monday and then trade it later in the week. That gives him the leverage in his odds. Having funds with Bet365 and Stan James will enable you access more prices on a Monday, but not the complete range of prices that punters outside the U.S. can access. :nooo:

I don't think WSEX is viable option. Unlike UK services that trade from tee off to end of rd WSEX freezes you out once tourney starts till tv coverage starts. They have 9 holes or more usually to adjust lines while you are at their mercy which is EXTREMELY HUGE disadvantage to punter. Wsex interactives in golf are for amusement only in my opinion.

I was informed of following from WSEX

Interactives will not change in 2004
Adding place wagers doubtful. Stated outrights were not their market yet.
Will retain 1/2 stroke wagers but reduce odds on pick em
to -108 similiar to Pinnacle. That sounds good anyway.
