That indeed is pathetic and Mr Campbell's action is deserving of applaud. In the end it will make little difference. It would take the people themselves who would attend this event or any sports event in general to boycott it to send a effective message. Unfortunately, people will still pay and come. The ones who can afford it that is.

It's absolutely unreal that a human being gets paid $2 million JUST TO SHOW UP. If the purse was $2 million and Tiger won, then great! But $2 million as an "appearance fee"???

But, like you two are saying, we all know the masses will pay whatever they are told to pay to see the great Tiger Woods.

Tiger should be ashamed. That's totally ridiculous. Show up and play, for Christ's sake, and do it for the "love of the game". turn the 2 mil down. what did Nike have to say about this?

reminds me of the rickey henderson's, bobby bonnilla's and barry bond's, etc. greedy f'ers.

``I would love to play Tiger in my own backyard and beat him but unless they change their prices, I am not playing.''

I am a Tiger fan, but damn I like seeing someone have confidence against the guy. It seems like most players over here have given up at times.

I think Tiger would do this story great justice if he backed off of his fee. That would be very difficult to do, though.
