Outright plays (1.5 units):

Meg Mallon to win 25/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes (.75 units to win & .75 units to finish in top-5)
Won the Canadian Women's Open on her last outing which would be reason enough to avoid her this time, but it was not last week and she has a record of maintaining high finishes. The last time she won an event - the du Maurier Classic in 2000 - she finished 2nd in her next three events. Her record on this course is also impressive with top-10 finishes in five of her last six visits. Not much to suggest a let-down from her Canadian win.

Beth Daniel to win 30/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes
Has become a near-permanent selection when she tees it up. In her last nine starts she has finished outside the top-20 on just one occasion. Against a weak field, she could secure an overdue win, particularly given her record on this course. She has played in this event eight times, won it twice (1989 & 1990) and finished in the top-10 on three further occasions. Looks set for another top-10 finish this year.

Catriona Matthew to win 40/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes
Most definitely the junior member of this trio, Matthew is another who comes into this event with a rejuvenated game. Her collapse in the Canadian Women's Open to hand victory to Mallon would have made the next event very difficult for most players, but she improved with each round to finish 4th last week in the Betsy King Classic. That was an impressive performance after what had happened the previous Sunday and she should be confident for this week's event.

Must endorse Mathew here who will be bursting to win to make a point to Dale Reid at her Solheim snub.

The US team will be picked after this and two that will be hoping to do well are Ammacapane and Delasin as rumours have it they will not be picked.

Amazingly Sheehan seems to be leaning towards Hurst and Burton, which makes Reid's snub of Mathew and Moodie look like a spelling error....the odds will be in Europe's favour if she goes for those two.

Have also backed Kuehne, Teske and Bauer.

Looking forward to having a bit more time from now on!
