Re. posts commenting on Steiglitz being a 20-1 on favourite over Balzsay in a dramatic shift in the odds.

There is a reason for this.

Only the Braehmer fight was shown live on ZDF in Germany.

The Stieglitz upset was shown on a tape delay by ZDF, it was NOT live. All those Steiglitz winners past-posted their damned bets!!

The sensational shift in the odds was because people already knew the result.

I knew I was watching a recording because there was a break of just 10 seconds between rounds instead of the full one minute break.

In England we have a saying: "Cheaters never prosper." There are a bunch of people out there who cheated the books on this fight.

I believe it was shown live on hungarian television; if those people past posted their bets...they will get caught.

the minute that NJ posted the strange swing in odds, I knew I was doomed with my Balzsay ticket

I thought to myself "somebody knows the result and the upset must have happened"

Those type of swings are a red flag instantly....

Never a smart thing to past post.....a good relationship with the books is far more important....these type of things catch up to you down the line.....

OK, well maybe they posted their bets with the fight in progress. It was obvious very early that Balzsay was in a life and death struggle. Stieglitz looked much the stronger man and he was the puncher in the fight. I watched the recorded fight on ZDF with the result not known (not known to me, anyway) and after round 7, I jotted down in my notebook: "The last 5 rds will be very tough for B." .... Balzsay was fading and Stieglitz was coming on strongly and really finding a home for the right hand in the 7th.

From another forum ( east...)

Yep absolutely. It was a good fight both guys started really strong with Balzsay hitting stronger and more clearly. Then after the 4th round the pace became slower with Stieglitz getting more ground but Balzsay still was better with a slight margin. Then in the 9th round Stieglitz came out with everything he had and rocked Balzsay a few times. Karesz survived but he seemed totally gased out. In the 10th the beating continued. When he stood up for the 11th Sdunek didn't let him out and called the bout off. Balzsay was taken out on a stretcher instatntly to the hospital. He is in really bad shape.

Edit: sorry guys I've just seen tha zdf broadcast starts just now. I watched the fight on Hungarian tv. I didn't mean to spoil it.
