Needing one win to secure the Larry O trophy.
The question is does Miami have enough heart and desire to make this a 7 game series ?
Do all of the stats finally go out the window for game 6 ?
The neither team has lost 2 in a row in months ?
Miami has their backs against the wall.
I'm just not sure what to think at this point.
Tonight is what I expected to see from SA in all 5 games.

Better to have your backs against the wall at home than in San Antonio.

Yesterday you change the line-up from what won you game 4.
You play Battier for the entire first half...he is frigid in this series
You quit attacking the basket....it worked so well so now you forgot how to do it?

Honestly, this final is WWE with a basketball.

Miami wins game 6, (may not cover the 7) bank it.

They didn't quit attacking the basket - they had more shot attempts in the paint in Game 5 than they did in Game 4. The Spurs just defended the paint better, allowing them to shoot only 46.5% from the paint vs. 65.8% in Game 4. The Heat's success seems to be predicated on their mid-range jumper, a shot the Spurs are willing to live with while they defend long and close range shots. You can see by the following chart how consistent the Spurs have been offensively, and the games the Heat have won was when they shot well from mid-range. In finals losses, the Heat have shot 31% from mid-range, and in wins 40.7%.

Another series price question/thought

Another series price question/thought

Miami is a stellar 12-0 ATS in the last 12 coming off a loss.

Game 7 at home. Best home record in the NBA.

Series is Miami -135.

Game 6 ML -325.

Game 7 ML will be even higher if there is a game 7.

Why would anybody backing Miami bet game 6 or 7 for 3-1 odds when they can grab them now for -135 ?

So I'll take them @ -6 -118

Money is pouring in on SA ats, ml, and series as ml is now -290 and -120 for series

The series price is simple math really, approx -300 odds winning twice =-125

Over at the MGM sports book, they?re not seeing any of that Spurs action !

Over at the MGM sports book, they?re not seeing any of that Spurs action !

?All Heat, we?re buried on the Heat tonight,? said MGM sports book hub manager Jeff Stoneback. ?We?ve had 10 times more cash come in on the Heat at minus-7 than those taking the points on the Spurs.?

Stoneback said he could move to -7.5 at any time but is paying close attention to what the market is showing, saying ?I don?t want to give away +7.5.? Chances are, if he does to go to 7.5, he?ll get Spurs money immediately. But when he?s looking at the LVH and some offshore shops at 6.5, it may take a few more Heat wagers before going his own way, regardless of what the market shows.

Stoneback is dealing -130 on the series price as well, and said he could see the Heat opening up at -6 for Game 7, but only if they struggle or don?t cover tonight.

?I think we?ll see a (Game 7) number close to tonight?s game if the Heat cover the spread.?

Well I sure hope that Duncan doesn't laugh during pre game warm-up. He may not be around for the tip.
