Anybody ever have there car stolen? Mine was stolen Sunday night called the police actually saw the thief pull out the driveway and take off. Filed Insurance claim local city cop found my car in some apartment complex across town, GO figure .. Cop said there was a few dents and the front tire was blown out and they drove my car until they couldn,'t anymore due to the tire. I have full coverage on my car, just nervous they did damage underneath to the frame, etc. Any suggestions dealing with the Insurance adjuster?

Don't sign off on anything. You do NOT have to use their chosen repair facility. Before it has been repaired you can have the facility of your choice check it out and if they find anything more than what teh adjuster found they can call him back out for a supplement. If it's legit he will agree and issue additional payment to cover those damaged parts as well.

Don't be fooled. They try to make it seem as if they are being your est friend by writing you a check on the spot, but all htat is doing is having you agree to those terms and have no further recourse.

They adjusters are paid on the money they save the insurance company, not on how big your smile is at the end of the day.

I'm not disagreeing with the other stuff you said but this part couldn't be further from the truth. When I did adjusting I was paid based on the claim itself. The more I paid out the more I made. It wasn't a % but based on the things I had to check out and how involved it made my job.

@ Joker slight typo he meant to say drivers side window

UMMMMMMMMMMMM YOU can get your own repair shop of your choice and they will add more to cover deductible.

wow only $500 how much do you pay per month has to be close to $200 or more for full coverage.

PLUS they might get you some cash in your pocket by being able to do the reairs cheper without replacing parts

DID this many times years ago.

The shop got paid for a whole new fender but they were able to make reapirs and was perfect unblemished reapir insurance conmpany only asked for pics to be faxed over or however they did it before cell phons.
