This should be one of the BEST MMA cards of the year(if you want action).

2 GREAT MAIN EVENTS:
The NY BAD ASS Phil Baroni(-120) for 240 over Frank Shamrock.--- Frank looked terrible in his last fight vs. Renzo Gracie.He was getting rocked at times against a non striker and was dominated on the mat. Phil is very underrated on the defensive side and will KO Frank.

NINJA RUA(-Even) over Joey Villasenor for 200---Gonna be a good one. I think Ninja has the edge.Look at his last 3 losses. Kang,Rampage,and Filho.Which one of those should he have won.Fought Rampage well(lost a dec.) Villasenor is coming off a decision win over Loiseau which is not a hard thing to do these days.He didnt impress to me.

i took shamrock despite the age.....i read some of his comments and he`s well aware of baroni`s lack of cardio and his one dimensional style....

baroni has no wins in any fights that go past the 2nd round..only 4 fights... .you can say that`s `cause he gets guys out of there...and you`d be right...

i thought i had an angle here...until i looked at shamrock`s record...

shamrock has a slew of submissions...and he says he understands that the longer this goes,the better it is for him....

but,i looked at the records and i was totally weirded out by the fact that in 30 bouts,shamrock fights only got out of the first round 4 TIMES!!!!

26 BOUTS ENDED IN THE 1ST ROUND!..if fight finder is correct...

imo,that does favor baroni...big time...i think he`ll be hard to submit early when he`s fresh...

i`m thinking about a do-over on my shamrock wager...

I saw the same thing on the cardio.
This is a hard fight to cheer for either guy because both are pricks.
Frank didnt seem to have much in the tank against Renzo. I think Frank's good days are in the rear view mirror and Frank likes to put on a good show.He will stand and fight Baroni.I agree that Frank wins if it goes the distance.
I still think he gets KO'd.

This card isn't living up to its billing and this announcing crew is bad. Goldberg stinks. Glazer is okay but this guy doing the bulk of the announcing is making me sick to my stomach with his bullshit on how great things are going. Im willing to bet this is his MA. Chung Le just fought and the way he talked about Le he is the next Bruce Lee. He fought a punching bag and a dumb one at that. Le to me looked winded half way thru the 2nd round. He looked good but please head announcer give me a break. The head announcer is saying stuff you hear in the WWE. Glazer won't even acknowledge most of his ridiculous comments. "Greatest card ever" "most excitement he ever saw" "Crowd is the loudest i ever heard" Dude let the action breath and do its thing. We don't need your silly bullshit on top of it. I actually miss Jim Lampley. Oh for goodness sakes he just told Goldberg the atmosphere is electric and its gonna get better.

I agree the announcers are trying to make it more exciting than it is.

Shamrock just destroyed Baloni.
Baloni never got in a big punch in the first as Shamrock rocked and taunted him the entire round.
Round 2 Baroni was more active and landed a few big punches,but never had a chance.
He got choked out(never tapped just passed out).
The **** shoved and kicked Baroni off him.
Both guys are such a-holes.

Keg, that was a good fight. I cant stand that hand job Baroni and when Shamrock put his hands together saying he was gonna put him to sleep i was laughing my ass off and then he did it. Baroni is one of the biggest stiff in MMa history and Shamrock could have taken him out anytime he wanted. Did you see that assholes (Baroni)entrance? Man i bet Shamrock and then washed most of it because of the alleged torn Knee. If this is true than Baroni is a bigger stiff than i thought. Dam i wish Glazer didn't say that. I was scrambling to wash my bet. I have to give Shamrock credit tho. He tries to be an even bigger asshole but at least he has talent. According to the announcer tho it was the greatest fight in MMa history Lofen L. Good fight tho. Made it not a waste of night.

Although I dont know what was worse,the Baroni entrance or Shamrock's exit.Did he really need to be carried out of there ala Kellen Winslow(like Glazer said).
Both are media hounds and drama queens.The announcers were creaming over Cung Le as well.He was good and VERY quick,but come on.
He never took any good shots and the ones he took seemed to effect him. Jury still out on whether he can take shots from someone good.

BIG PLAY for me tomorrow on KIMBO SLICE(-150) for 450. Mercer has NO CHANCE.

It was just that one announcer. At least Goldberg and Glazier wouldn't go with him on it. Man to me nothing ruins a sport more than one of these assholes trying to bullshit me. It takes me right off of the action. I guess i saw it to much growing up watching wrestling. I missed Rogan so much tonight i almost turn the volume off. There is no need for that crap. I mean this guy was just like a WWE announcer. What was really funny is when he said one of his ridiculous comments Goldberg and Glazeer wouldn't agree with him and basically stayed silent. After the Shamrock fight which was the focal point of the whole night he tries to tell us they have a bonus fight which is the one everyone came for :mj07: . I didn't see the Shamrock exit but i did see him kick Baroni off of him :mj07: Two real bonafide assholes in my book.

`m not sold on kung le, either...i had never seen fryckland fight before and to say he`s mannequin-like would be an understatement...

I don't know Keg i just watched it againj. How do you throw kicks with a blown out knee? Unless it was doped up to its highest levels i can't see how you would even risk trying to kick someone. Just saw the exit lol. He has this blown knee and he isnt even limping. That fight did save the card tho. The second time around it was just as good. Im glad everyone notice the punching bag Le fought and the overblown hype. He is a nice fighter and we will see what happens in the future but he is not Bruce Lee just yet. thought i might be going nuts listening to the overblown hype of this guy.

Mercer wanted to box and Kimbo wanted to use anything and everything he had.Knees did damage leading to a choke out.
