I like San Antonio tonight, but I like these props even better. I got to these a bit late so some are juiced a bit, but look for a big night from Jrue Holiday. Even if they are getting blown out, expect the coach to keep him in the game for a good cause (see below) and his teammate will help boost his efforts for a big night. Fortunately, Tony Parker can't guard a lick anymore either.

Jrue Holiday
OVER 14.5 Pts (-125) 10x
OVER 6.5 Ast (-135) 6x
OVER 22.5 Pts+Ast (-115) 5x
OVER 26.5 Pts+Reb+Ast (-115) 4x

Pelicans' Jrue Holiday to donate $1,000 to tornado relief for every point, assist he

NEW ORLEANS -- Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday will donate $1,000 toward New Orleans tornado relief for every point and assist he records in Friday's home matchup with the San Antonio Spurs.

Tornadoes devastated the New Orleans East area on Feb. 7. No deaths were reported, but at least 33 people were injured, an estimated 250 homes and businesses were heavily damaged, and thousands were left without electricity.

"I was getting my haircut in my living room watching TV and just seeing everything happen," Holiday said. "Obviously, being here for four years, I know people from New Orleans East, and [I've been] texting and asking them how their families are doing, how the city's doing. Houses, homes, pretty much everything's lost. To be able to give a little bit of hope, that's the least I can do."

Holiday had 23 points and 11 assists in the Pelicans' last meeting with the Spurs, a 119-103 New Orleans victory at the Smoothie King Center.

The 26-year-old guard said he's also hopeful that some of his teammates will match or join him in his pledge efforts.

"I'm hoping for something like 20 and 10," Holiday said. "Hopefully [Anthony Davis] will go 30 and 20 and DeMarcus [Cousins] will, too."

In the wake of the tornadoes, the Pelicans and Saints have used their Metairie, Louisiana, training facilities to collect nonperishable food items and other items of need, while working in conjunction with United Way, the American Red Cross and the Second Harvest Food Bank.

"It's devastating to see that across the way, across town something so drastic and so sudden can happen," Holiday said. "I guess we're here to try and help them pick it up."

Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday will donate money to New Orleans tornado relief efforts when Pelicans play Spurs March 3

March 1, 2017

New Orleans ? New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday, now in his fourth season with the team, has committed to back his stellar on court accomplishments with a financial contribution dedicated to assisting those in immediate need as a result of several devastating tornadoes that impacted New Orleans on February 7, 2017.

Holiday, a native of Chatsworth, Calif., has pledged $1,000 per point and assist when the Pelicans play host to the San Antonio Spurs in front of a national television audience (ESPN; 8:30 pm) on Friday, March 3 at the Smoothie King Center.

Holiday is working in conjunction with The Greater New Orleans Foundation to aide those that were most severely impacted by the tornadoes.

?It?s a shame that in the matter of minutes these storms produced such violent tornadoes that literally upended the lives of so many residents of New Orleans,? said Holiday. ?This financial pledge is a unique way I thought of that can have a positive impact on some of the peoples? lives and help them get back on their feet and assist them in getting their lives back in order. It?s a blessing that nobody lost their lives in the tornadoes, but that doesn?t mean the work is done. I?ve been impressed with how our city and its residents have responded to those in need and this is my way of helping out.?

New Orleans Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha lauded Holiday?s generosity by stating, ?This is a truly moving act of kindness and a significant gesture on Jrue?s part and it bears witness to the importance that our players put on their relationship with New Orleans. In no way was he prompted to do this, instead this came directly from his heart and it?s touching to know that he and his family deeply care about those that have lost so much.?

Holiday?s announcement comes at a time in the season where he has been lighting up the score sheet, as he averaged 19.9 points per game, 8.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds with 2.1 steals in x outings in February. The Greater New Orleans Foundation Tornado Relief Fund was created to support nonprofit organizations in the Greater New Orleans area to provide assistance to families who suffered catastrophic losses due to the devastation wreaked by the tornados in various neighborhoods throughout the region.

?We are extremely grateful and thankful to Jrue Holiday for his generosity and thoughtfulness and his rapid response to the members of our community that have lost so much,? said Andy Kopplin, president & CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation. ?His contribution will go directly to aiding the hundreds of families that suffered significant losses due to the tornadoes.?

5Dimes just posted their props for this game. Pretty much the same across the board...

Fri 3/3 5855 J.Holiday points over 14? -125
9:35PM 5856 J.Holiday points under 14? -105

Fri 3/3 5857 J.Holiday assists over 6? -135
9:35PM 5858 J.Holiday assists under 6? +105

Fri 3/3 5859 J.Holiday rebounds+assists over 11? -115
9:35PM 5860 J.Holiday rebounds+assists under 11? -115

Fri 3/3 5861 J.Holiday pts+reb+ast over 26? -115
9:35PM 5862 J.Holiday pts+reb+ast under 26? -115

This game will be nationally broadcasted on ESPN so his cause will be getting quite a bit of attention. This seems like an ideal situation and the books are clearly not factoring in this information. Additionally, the props are low given his season averages (16.0ppg, 7.3apg, 4.1rpg), however, this may be due to his struggles with Cousins on the floor since the trade. Given the small sample size (only three games with Cousins), I don't see how these low projections from the books are warranted.

From this quote, it sounds like he's trying to raise at least $30,000 tonight.
Good for us and good the tornado victims.:0074

Forgot to play Sixers before the game tipped. They've covered 12 straight (since Jan 3rd) at home and the closing line was 2. Knicks will find a way to blow this.

Both meetings previously this season ended in one point margins. Wouldn't be surprised to see the same here

Typical Knicks. Good for the bankroll, bad for me as a fan. Painful ending after painful ending.

Oh, and the Sixers have now covered every game they've played at home in 2017 -- 13 straight.

8 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds at the half -- not a great 2nd qtr. lots of missed jumpers and a missed layup by holiday. Teammates missed a bunch of open shots that he would have assisted on too. Pretty much halfway there at the break.

I think we'll be fine in the 2H. Gentry won't keep him on the bench for long periods with his donation amount dependent on production.

...4 assists now

17-4-4 -- getting close to the combined total. One more score seals a solid profit.
