Farther South, Nearer God
After 3 straight weeks under .500, I took a week off from posting to see if I could get back on track. I went 15-4 this weekend, so I am going to resume posting. Those picks are not counted in the YTD numbers, as they were not posted.

Texas -3' x2
Florida -6' x3
Rice -1' x1.5
Troy -10 x1.5
Houston -6' x1
Florida -5' x1.5
Air Force -9 x1

The weightings are based on how confident I am in my projected spreads, rather than the size of the difference between mine and the bettable spreads.

I had the opening spread for the Texas-Texas Tech game pegged at 7 and was going to pass on the game since I feel that the number one factor in the game is whether Texas's relentless schedule might cause an understandable letdown. Since I could grab it at 3' and fully expect to be able to grab the other side later this week near 10, I bought in.

I have the opening spread for Florida-UGA at 14. This is the biggest price discrepancy I've had this season, so I effectively bet it 4.5 times. If it goes down further, I may bet more on it, though I am approaching the limit as far as the amount I am willing to wager on one game. UGA is small and fast, Florida is big and fast, Tebow was formerly God and has flashbacks, and Richt will never understand what he started last year with that first TD. I think this will be a scoring fest, with the total going over 70. Perhaps Florida 63, UGA 10.

YTD: 39-27-2
All sides taken at a SBR rated A+ site.
