Nice 3-1 last week. Picking up steam now, let's keep it going.

SPTW is a contrarian concept for players of mechanical systems only. If you're such a handicapper, you know there's a moment each week when you see a list of all the teams your system wants to bet on. Typically, you agree with some and disagree with others, but every so often one comes up that seems so off the wall that you can't even consider playing it. That's the Stupid play we're tracking here. The SPTW theory is that these are the teams with the most value, and our 4-year record (just under 60% with nearly 250 plays) supports the idea that these are actually good bets. So if you've got such a team this week (and remember, it must be produced by a purely mechanical system, such that anyone applying the criteria gets the same plays), please post it below.

SPTW is running here and on another board. I grade the combined consensus, less any games where both sides are picked. No parlays, no teasers, no college teams. ** Please pass if your pick was not spit out by some strict mechanical system.** Thanks for your contribution, and good luck.

Going against the livest dog on the board. The Skins. Off 4 cons outright dog wins. Looks like they're playing too well now for the oddsmaker to correct for it.

But Eagles fit some nice home momentum situations, based on their recent wins and strong defensive showings. Really think the potential weakness on this line is people wanting to ride the same horse (Skins) every week. Going against the rare "public dog."

Eagles, it is. GL, all!
