hate to lay that big number though.

Mark Martin +170 over Benson.

Tucker88 I am going to be careful with there qualifing efforts. I know this seems nut's. But I think a few guys held back a little. With the one engine rule some may have save a little. I Don't know if you saw qualifing. However the weather played some tricks on those numbers also. The sun out real bright and warm for 8/10 cars then clouds for next 15 cars and back and fourth. Guys doing the brodcast were saying some guys could slip by 1/2 second in timeing due to that. So between weather and maybe some guys holding back a little. At race time we may find them as fast or faster then front 8 spots. I do like your S Marlin and B Labonte to win picks. And you Marlin over K Wallace pick. That R Gordon over Skinner has me looking close at that to.
Best of Luck.

I think the 55 car will be fast tomorrow.
I have not seen him in any matchups yet but am looking.
I really think Rusty is going to win the race.
I expect a poor showing from the 24, not just because of his qualifying but I dont think he is comfortable with his car.
I will probably take Harvick -110 over Jr.
Jr does nto like Rockingham and has been feeling bad.
be back later

Tucker,
what book do you use?

I spend quite a bit of time in the Las Vegas Casinos and one thing I have noticed about NASCAR matchups; every single place has different combinations of matchups.
I have seen Sterling Marlin matched up with at least 6 different opponents at various places.
It seems it may be best to concentrate on a few drivers and find the right matchup you want.

hoyt - I use a book not sponsored by Jack, I set it up three years
ago and they've been good so stuck with it.

Bubba- do you know of any offshores that offer that +&- matchups you were talking about, that might be a better way to
go.

This has been a good track for hamilton along with martinsville.
i cant get a matchup with him though. got him as a 20-1 to win the race. i'll put a $10 bill on that just for the hell of it.

still coming back to these matchups:

Sterling -115 over Kenny Wallace
Robby Gordon -125 over Skinner
Rusty even over Benson

Martin+170 over Benson

What do you guys see out of The wonderboy tomorrow.
qualified 33 but was 8 racest in happy hour.
believed he screwed himself. what i mean is that he was trying to play it safe with the one engine and maybe he was not willing
to show what he had under the hood. the weather didnot help and he ended up in the back.

Dont get me wrong there is nothing i would like to see mor than the #24 in the wall, but its not gonna happen.
He too good. give him 150 laps and he is in the top 10.
I dont have a favorable matchup and if I dont find one I wont play it. but i can guarantee it not often you can get Jeff as an
underdog and maybe can take advantage of it.

As I mentioned in the other thread, "1 engine--must read", there is a factor that I felt is VERY important from the article. Drivers and teams are not able to spend as much time with the car as in previous years in the practice and qualifying rounds.
When you get a situation that is really different from previous years in any sport, THERE COULD BE A LOT OF MONEY TO BE MADE. The books use stats and facts from other years to set their lines and matchups. They have to. They cant fly by the seat of their pants and come up with a strange line. Corporations demand the lines are set according to facts, and as we all know, all sports books are part of a corporation. This is to our advantage, and it could be a tremendous one.

I am going to write a little more about this in the "one engine--must read" thread.

just thinkin' about something want to know what ya think.

there is a lot of talk that Kenny Wallace's ride is about up,
Steve Park is progressing and maybe in the car as soon as Atlanta.

How will Wallace react?

Win the damn race, prove he can drive and maybe find a fultime job?

Feel the pressure to prove himself, push the car and break it or
something to that effect?

I dont know. really like the matchup of Sterlin Marlin over K Wallace but may back down from it.

1837,

It is an offshore, but not one that Jack has on the site so if you want to get my email from him and shoot me a message I will let you know, but since you are the moderator of this group and you say it is OK to post it I will.
