Oh hell yes. Those edamame look huge also. I love the scallop, looks like some yellowtail and halibut(?), obviously sake and tuna or bonita, is the light colored separated fish toro? Also, that roll looks amazing. What was in that? That sushi rice looked perfect in the roll. Amazing.

Yes the rice here is tasty.... they definitely put care and love into the rice... dude that owns these joints is like the sushi nazi... inside the hand rolls are toro & the other one is blue crab... the light colored separated fish? With all the sauce? The tuna sashimi.? .. the close up with green scallion is albacore belly.... some sea bream up top...little bit of sea bass.... halibut is a must for me.. maybe my favorite bite after the belly selections.....
Thanks for the clarification. No, the one with the scallops, 3rd pic down. Now I can tell by separation it is toro (albacore belly), because looks same as inside the roll. Damn good meal. My company is based in Brea outside LA and when all is normal again please meet me there. I get out there at least once a quarter. Stay at Marriott by Cal St. Fullerton college. Love it!!

I ate sushi twice. Meh. I need to go with somebody that knows and can educate me on what to order. I'm skeptical of most things that are raw but have an open mind.
Well next time your in ca or Vegas let me know... what kind of sushi did you have when you did have it? Do you remember the name of the restaurants you went to?
I went to this joint. Columbus, Indiana isn't exactly the sushi capital. Maybe you can find and recommend a place in Indianapolis?

Jack, the quality and freshness of the fish is key. In Columbus, think how fresh the fish is? Frozen? How long? We are talking less than 3-24 hours the fish we are eating and Salty is showing pictures of. No comparison and would love to show you real experience.
