I am going to be in Vegas over thanksgiving and would like to find the best sportsbook to watch (and wager on) the Lions-Indy game in. Can anyone recommend a few? If you know the names I can find thier locations. We are staying at the Flamingo if that helps.

mirage, mandalay bay and stardust were the best one i was at in october. But haven't been to all of them, would avoid tropicana hidden in a little back room.

Have fun bud, it was a blast watching monday nite football at the mirage.

Caesars is the best, IMO.
The problem with Mirage, which is very good is,,
to get scores that are not on TV, you have to watch a scrolling message and even then after reading all the ads about "welcome to Mirage..etc."
I thought this was horrible.
Caesars!!

Thanks for the input. I am a Vegas Virgin... are these just regular casinos that have sports betting? Or are they sports betting specfic. I have always heard about these cool places that have a million TV's to watch all of the sporting events that are on that day and you can bet anything and everything on all the games. Do the regular casinos have sports betting areas? Any help would help.

Its a sickness but I have a dream about sitting in front of a huge TV screen in vegas with a slip that says (whatever) and I win big on the last play of a game, jumping up and screaming... Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!

The Venetian!

The Venetian!

Large and comfy seats here, fine and small sportsbook with excellent drink service. You sit very close to the TVs--they aren't far away up on a wall like the others.

Check out Nolan Dalla's sportsbook reviews

These sportsbooks are all in the major casinos mentioned. Look for the sign directing you to "sportsbook" or ask. The last sports/racebook only betting parlour in LV closed about 20 years ago--all sportsbooks are in the casinos now.

All these casinos are a short stroll from the Flamingo. I suggest you check them all out (fun to do anyway!) and then decide. Don't enter Caesar's thru the Forum Shops or wifey will delay you hours! :142lmao:

Check out Big Elvis' act in lounge at Barbary Coast, next door to Flamingo. (tue-fri, 3-6 pm).....Also, it's good to check the betting lines at Barbary. Might get extra half point Or at Imperial Palace. Most of the other casinos this part of Strip owned by two corporations and lines don't vary much......if you wanna check out The Rio and The Palms Casinos, Barbary Coast runs a free shuttle every 15 mins from side door to sister property Gold Coast (next to Rio and Palms).....In TI Casino (next to Mirage) is an outpost of the excellent Canter's Deli from LA, a good meal stop when you stroll up thatway...

Have a gooood time!! :spotting:

Thanks a ton!

We are here now... I should have read the replies before heading out today. We went to Ceasers through the Forum shops and 3 hours later, my wife had spent most of her money.

Anyway... Thanks to those who replied. It sounds I have narrowed it down to Ceasers, Madalay Bay or the Venetician for the Lions-Colts game on Thursday. I wanted to go to Bally's b/c it is close, but I don't here rave reviews from this group.

Wish me luck and go Indy and go over...

Thanks especially to Terryray.. for posting Nolan's section on sportsbook reviews. I found it very helpful. I have officially decided on the Venetian!

BTW: My 29th (actual) birthday (11-25-75) bet is:

Indy -2.5 & Indy/Det over 46.5 2dimes

TIME CHANGE?

TIME CHANGE?

I totally forgot about the time change from Central (wisconsin) to Vegas (Pacific).... I raced a 5k this morning, thinking I had until 11:30 for game time. I got back at 10 and missed the start of the game. No wager on this game for me.

On the other hand, I finished 15th/500 at 18:24 in the 5k. That was a win in my book.

LOL to others today.
