You know the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle (the position and the velocity of an object cannot both be measured exactly, at the same time)? I think a close corollary to that is the Mr. Lock Pessimism Principle, which states that Mr. Lock's level of pessimism can never be accurately measured, because by the time it is observed and documented he's already moved onto a new level of pessimism.
