Hawk,
Interested in your take on these MAC contests early in the week. Friend of mine has made plenty of scratch betting the "Over". Seems to point to situations that are NOT the norm with regard to handicapping totals I have used for many years.
Teams seem to play more loosey goosey, good example was the Akron game last night, where it looked like there were more vendors in attendance than fans. Usually in these situations, teams playing for nothing, in empty buildings usually produce little if anything in terms of offense.
Next thing you see is 40 + points goin into the half.
I think in some cases I "overthink" some of my selections, and ultimately talk myself out of picks.
Very difficult to navigate these games as they seem to throw out most conventional thought.
My friend says " when its a MAC contest in Nov I say OVER !
I come from the school of "If I'm gonna lose wagers, it will be my choice who to bet. I don't wager games simply because a particular Handicapper puts it out there, and I certainly respect many at this site, but I do feel more confident when I see vets like yourself on the same side I'm on.
Thanks for the effort:0008
