Would have been peachy without those late additions to the tigers damage. They had their chances late but refused to hit with runners in scoring position.
Retroactively ironic comments about those over-umps, including the Busch-wack. What was it?...0-0 through 17 or something?
(It is better to look stupid than to feel stupid.)
Didn't have the over, at least; ump won't dictate my play (save maybe Hirschbeck) but might make me back off a lean or alter amount.
Stop the presses--went 2-0 on totals yesterday.
Padres -105 1.05/1
---I don't mind Kennedy but LeBlanc looks like he might have game and needs a good showing to stick around; 'zona not hitting lefties well and Pads hitting surprisingly well at home early on; Pads pen absolutely better; I like the under but ump Barksdale won't help and neither will 'zona pen...besides, gonna stick to side or total, at least until this negative creep ends
Cardinals -1.5 -104 1.56/1.5
---Wainwright is on fire (@CIN&vshou, mind you) while Maine has followed up his crappy spring with 2 shit outtings (flor/COL) and doesn't have good numbers vs in 4...apparently has been working on going back to his old delivery but Cards shouldn't have the same trouble, early, vs an R as opposed to the L yesterday; combo of ump Eddings, who was a solid under play before he found his glasses (still is, sorta), and yesterday's zero-fest maybe makes this a push-my-luck scenario
Blue Jays -126 3.78/3
---1st-round lefty Romero is panning out, as expected, is very good in day and home games, had a great spring and has been dynamite through 2 (TEX/cws); Santana was bad in '09, has been bad through 2 '010 (min/NYY) and hasn't fared well vs Jays, particularly at the Rogers Centre...he has given up 666 home runs since Dec.21st 2008; angels devastated lefties '09 (37-17 including a phenomenal 22-7 on the road) but are 0-3 vs '010 (0-1 road) while sporting a .760 OPS vs L (not too bad, there)...Jays can't touch lefties this year but have an .838 OPS vs R along with 16 HR vs R (tops in majors vs R)...slug.% of .505 vs R is second in the majors to the Phillies; Jays pen also sports an era of 3.93 (w/2 HR through 34.1) while laa's is 5.77 (4 HR through same 34.1); sit Lyle Overpaid and Jays have a great shot
rays@Red Sox un9 -131 1.31/1
---Garza has looked great (yes...Balt twice) and has good numbers vs while rays are totally not hitting lefties so far; ump Ted Barrett is a bit of a help; I hate 8.5 in a hitter's park so jack-tanned it; hope Garza goes complete as rays pen is pretty slimy
orioles@A's un7.5 -125 1/0.8
---neither really hitting lefties (esp.balt) and a pair of good ones tossing here; ump Culbreth is even; half-run buy here was stupid (barring exactly 7 runs scored)
tigers -118 1.18/1
---haven't learned my lesson, apparently; decent K% from ump Barry (even years, at least--what's up with that?) should help potentially wild Max and maybe keep him in the game longer; I don't like Snell and even less in day games
Syracuse bless the McNuggets for helping me to end a bad ride week!
