A lot of games today should lay low after last night but its the kid in the candy store looking in the window..
UTSA +4 over UTEP ****
Roadrunners won last night by 86-79..Today both teams travel to El Paso for todays game But Jivan did wake up and scored season high 32 points. Wallace his partner had 19 points. Think Jivan is back scoring and think this line is off knowing Roadrunners away record. But think UTSA get a sweep.
La Laf +3.5 over Tex St *****
Was at the game and Bobcats had trouble with Cagins size inside.. Not sure what adjustments Tx St can make today. Laf had 6'10 Akwuba who is raw but a presence altering shots inside and controlling the paint. then you have 6'9 Gueye who is 6'9 and athletic and built. He actually played one on one defense on 5'9 pt gd Harrell and Gueyes lateral movement was unreal since he weighs 230 pounds. Harrell had a tough time getting free and dribbling. Wilson is a smooth gd that can penetrate and shoot.. solid on defense.. but the star is Russell. He was being freezed out yesterday. This kid can shoot, dribble and pass. The best player on the court.. Not sure of his total points yesterday but every time he touched the ball they scored. But I saw 2 or 3 times he was wide open and didn't get the ball. Laf coaches subs way to much. He has one starter in for 4 or 5 minutes and lets Bobcats back in the game. And its not fatigue.. Think he just wants to get a lot of players in the game . C'mon coach I got money on this game. They didn't have continuity it seemed. Tex St has no real scorer. Asburry was named POW of Sun this week so he got a new "dew" like Odell, died his hair blonde..big time show off.. son win that award a few times before you think you are a superstar. Think Laf has the 2 best players on the floor in Russell and Wilson.. They have 2 bigs inside that Tex ST couldn't match up against.
Tx full court press had no effect on Laf. Wilson and Au are ballhandlers AU is from Mexico and talk about a dirty player..he hit Small in the balls on one play. Sule inside was trying to do to much vs Lafs bigs.. he posted low and made about 5 fakes up and under, drop step etc and was called for 3 seconds. It was 6 seconds really.
Laf led the entire game . Tx at halftime came back to tie but then never led.. This line is off because no way Tex should be favored today. The halftime live wagering was Laf +3 last night.
I guess what coaches make the best adjustments after last nights game will win. Tx is going to say we need to hit he bds and control the paint. Laf should say Can we give the ball to Russell more.
