I knew a day like yesterday was bound to happen sooner or later. Oh well, back to the basics......Short card, hopefully a few gems.....
Carolina -.5 +140 1 unit. Was gonna take the .5 in this one, but I thought laying it for + money might be the better play. Both teams are playing a 3rd in 4, but Tampa is playing a 4 in 6 spot, although one would assume they didn't exert that much energy last night barely getting by pitt 9-0. Tampa is off to a great start, but fatigue should catch up with them today. Carolina is a much different and better team at home.
Colorado -.5 -140 2 units. Okay, I want to get a loan and mortgage my house and rob a bank and put 10 runners on this game. But I suppose I'll stay disciplined. Up 10 units on the year, but would be up what seems like a million if it weren't for the idiot Blowhawks. I don't care what their record is and that they have covered 8 of the last 9. Blowhawks got beat up physically and majorly outplayed in their win over nashville. Colorado has had 2 days rest for this one, and Blowhawks just one. Simply put, the Hawks lately have been the bitch for Colorado with Avs covering 6 of the last 7.
