No disrespect, but being tired is not a factor, LOL. Now if he was running around playing full court basketball all day, etc. maybe fatigue may not be on the side of Love, but playing a lot of golf is not something that is going to wear on an in-shape younger guy like Love. Love may not win, but I dont see how you can argue taking a Top 5 golfer in the world at 2-1 odds in a Match Play format. Those odds are just plain silly. When you get two capable golfers, match play is a complete coin toss.

Big Tease,
When I meant Love was tired-it was Both Physical and mental. Everyone has talked all week about how hard it is to mentally play this many holes/matches. Love has had a much tougher time getting to the finals. Tiger was only challenged in round 1.
Saw an interview with him at his hotel last night and he said he was exhausted-wished it was only 18. There is NO one who can wear Tiger down mentally-except himself.
DL3 is a very good player-but he is not in Tiger's league when it comes to match play. Getting a good player at +210 seems logical. But I look at it that getting Woods at -300 all week and then -230 today has been unreal. You are talking the best player in the world-playing HIS favorite format. I looked at it this way-the Phx Coyotes were -400 on the ML the other night ag Pitts. I would rather have the best in the world in his event than 1 game of a hockey team. Phx lost-Tiger won't.

GL

-And I am one that will not play Tiger in events ag the field when he is +400 or +600-but I will take him -220 ag anyone in the world over 36 holes. No Way it is a coin toss

Still think it was the right play, with tiger struggling that badly off the tee, at those odds, davis had a good chance. If not for a few puts davis through away i think he could have stole it.

Yea I definatly agree that Love was still the right play and would make that play at +210 every day of the week.

However, I do agree with you Whale that Love was definatly MENTALLY exhausted. I apologize if I implied Physical exhaustion. You are right that Love definatly was spent out there. That is why Match Play is a funny beast....it is all about momentum. That is why anyone can win, however, I will give you the fact that as far as a MENTAL GAME, Tiger is FAR superior than anyone out there on tour. That is why he is great. There are a lot of players that may even be as talented as Tiger, but their mental game is no match for his. I firmly believe that Love may be able to challenge Woods in talent. However, I think that he has a tendency to shy away from opportunity. When the match turned against him, he was done mentally.

So I guess I agree with both sides.....it is tough to bet against Woods in a 36 hole match play format, but +210 is crazy with a great player.

Good play on Woods though, congrats
