Like Tampa Bay, Arizona is giving a rookie his first start under center, only Matt Leinhart gets to start at home. Who cares, he's a rookie and he'll struggle (did you see him at Atlanta last week?) against Kansas City. New KC coach Herm Edwards is a master of bringing and disguising blitzes (KC had five sacks last week at SF) and he'll have Leinhart guessing and geing off track all game. KC hasn't allowed a TD pass this year and that trend continues this afternoon. And of course it doesn't help the Redbird's cause that running back Edgerrin James has yet to get off as Arizona's OL line play has been sub-par. KC did a nice job of shutting down Frank Gore last week and they'll stuff James today.
KC passer Damon Huard (481 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT) has played smart football and was not sacked a week ago. Larry Johnson has topped the 100-yard mark in two straight games and Arizona gave up 262 yards rushing to Atlanta last week. Arizona has secondary problems and the team has yet to record an INT at home this year. Huard is 6-2 SU/ATS as a starter and playing with a lot of confidence after last week's blasting of San Fran. He'll do enough and the KC defense will force enough Lienhart mistakes as KC wins this game by double digits.
