The running in place since early December in college hoops continues.....lets unearth some winners today.
Villanova -2 over Pitt.....earlier this morning this was at -4, but now its -2.5 and I bought off the hook. Should be a fun game that will go a long way in determing the early pecking order of the Big East. I like the home team here. Not only is Pitt just 3-7 ATS in their last ten road game, but they enter this game with some big time personnel issues. Gone are Fields and Cook, two of the teams four double digit scores. They have yet to play a game against a quality opponent yet without these two key cogs. They did play one tough game without Cook and got rolled in the road last week by Dayton. Now, they face another tough road test without Fields, a more important player, as well. I have faith that this team wont crumble long term and that Dixon will get going in the right direction. But, they'll be facing a hungry Wildcat team and without two of their top guards will have matchup problems today on the road vs Nova's tough backcourt led by Scottie Reynolds.
