Arkansas St/Virginia Tech Over 53 (3*)

Tech lost most of their defensive starters...couple of returning starters are out with injuries or suspended...on the other side I don't see Arky St containing Tech's running game at all. It won't be a grind it out attack, Suggs and Jones should have plenty of big runs.

I am not playing the 0/U in this game, but I would be careful on counting on Ark st for too many points. This team averaged 8.6pts/game on the road last year. They were shut out by defensive power house North Texas st. They lost Adams who gained 1000 yards last year and was their only offensive threat. Their starting qb only completed 44% of his passes last year. You have to figure that Va tech is going to keep the ball on the ground, rather than expose Noel to any chance of getting his knee hurt. Ground game chews up the clock.

I know Va tech D has lost a lot from last year, and have the suspensions, but they still outclass ark st even with their replacements. I played va tech -20 for the 1st half, as I don't see Ark st, stopping their running game.
