DETROIT -111

Both of the Bullpens are shot coming into Sunday with the last 2 games going extra innings, so you may want to consider the Over 9.5 as well, but with the recent trades, you can't rely on the Tribe's offense. And with the bullpen situation, you have to look at maybe which starter will go deeper.

Detroit's starter, Galarraga has had a couple straight good starts even though he didn't win them. Last 2 starts: 14.1 innings pitched and only 7 hits and 5 earned runs given up.

Galarraga's ERA this year in Day games is 3.86 vs 5.24 in Night games and hold's true in the rest of his career starts where his ERA in Day games is 3.05 vs 4.78 in his Night starts.

Cleveland's starter, Pavano, is averaging about 5.8 innings per start in 20 games this year but has given up 144 hits in 117.2 innings pitched and in his last 2 starts has given up 17 hits and 13 earned runs in just 10.2 innings.

Pavano's Day game ERA this season is 6.75 in 5 starts which is close to a run and a half higher than his Night starts and this is consistant with his career Day/Night numbers where his Day starts ERA is close to a run higher than the Night starts.

Pavano has pitched well in 2 starts vs the Tigers this year and both were against Galarraga but I think it's going to be close to impossible for him to pull off the hat trick vs theTigers considering that the Tigs think they have Galarraga turned around and the form that Pavano is in combined with the fact you have to figure the Tigers have watched film on those 2 games vs Pavano and will make the proper adjustments vs him.

Good luck to all!

I think you are right on with your thinking... The starter who can go through 7 will win.... If neither, either bullpen could blow it; but Det has once again, proved, given 4 or 5 times to do it, can get that 1 clutch hit.... Clev was a huge disappointment in extra innings tonight IMO... They gave the game away.
