Here is to a great Sunday and let's all finish strong this week. I had some fantastic days this week, but yesterday even though not too bad still was disappointing.

Today:

Maimi Ohio -PK *** (3 Units)
The Redhawks are clearly the better team and have a huge incentive today with Kent losing to Buffalo. Tied in first atop the mighty MAC East should give Miami more than enough ammunition to win today and keep pace with Kent and Akron. They shoot better from the field and especialy from the free-throw line. Now the one achilles heel for the Redhawks has been road play, but they have turned it around as of late with two wins in a row on the road. Plus Bowling Green is not necessarily a tough team at home as they have gone a pedestrian 3-2 in their last 5 with those 3 victories coming against the 3 doldrums of the conference (Toledo, N.Illinois, and Ohio). Not having to give points, I like Miami-O.

N'Western +1 ** (2 Units)
Good spot for the Wildcats. Today is the last ditch effort for them to stake a case as a tourney team. Thye have fared well at home with big victories over Purdue, Illinois, and Michigan. They stlill have revenge in their minds from their close loss earlier in the year to the Gophers. Shurna steps up big in big-time games and I feel like he will have a great day. Being the dog at home and needing a win if they want to have a chance to participate in March Madness.

Montana/E.Washington Over 134 *** (3 Units)
The Grizzlies have scored over this total in 4 straight and the Eagles soared over the same number in 12 of the past 13 games. Furthermore, in their first meeting it went over this number by 10. The pace is definitely there and both teams seem to score more coming off short rest like today. The Big Sky plays lots of games back-to-back or on 2 days rest. The pattern shows tired legs equal a quicker tempo or in most cases, a lack of defensive focus.

Wichita St/Missouri St Under 137.5 ** (2 Units)
The Shockers pride themselves on defense and are now coming off a real disappointing loss @Evansville should stir them in the right direction. It starts with defense and I feel they will get back to their roots today. Illinois St is on their heals, so a huge effort is needed today.

BC +9 ** (2 Units)
Plain and simple, Florida St wins, but has a hard time covering. They play a slow tempo and grind out games, which is a great way to win but from a cappers point of view terrible becasue it results in few covers. The Eagles rarely get blown out and have not lost by more than 7 points in the last month. That includes road games @Wake Forest and V.Tech who I consider better teams than the Seminoles and a win against Miami.

Good luck everyone! Make some money and then take your girl out for a nice evening.

Best,
Kaiser

GL HiLo, I'm already on Mia and NW, leaning on BC, so I might have to tail you on the others. I like your reasoning.

I had to wait like 15 minutes before I posted. The Miami/Bowling Green game sickened me. Golden opportunity today and couldn't capitalize in the slightest. Played a good 1st half and then looked like shit for the majority of the 2nd. This is a game that illustrates, better yet, defines teams. I'm sour on the Redhawks because if you want to detach yourself from the average teams, you need to win games like today.

Let's get after it in the afternoon and evening.

An above average day so far hitting 3 out of 5, but then started looking at the UCLA/SC game. Was in discussions with Hudson on his thread thinking UCLA was the play, but now I'm thinking differently. I like SC for the first half, which perhaps will determine the fate of this game because this will be a low scoring affair. At home and with their smothering defense, which shows up even bigger at the Galen Center.

USC -3.5 (1st Half) ** (2 Units)

Couldn't hit the 1st half as I miss by a half point to finish the day 3-3 for no change in unit production. Just was unfortunate.

Hope many of you had good days!

See you tomorrow for another great week.

Best,
Kaiser
