will come back and recap yesterdays Coastal-Tex St game...let me post these because I still get confused with eastern and central time zones...

Canisius -1 over Peter ***
Griffs came back after being down 9 or 10 pts with a few minutes to play and beat Rider 81-80.. Baggett Riders coach is the worst...Griffs have 2 solid scorers in Molson and Reese..that's 2 more then Peter has on its whole team...But Griffs can't play defense . Peter used to play defense but its coach has moved up to Poughkeepsie ..But Peter still can't score...they have lost 4 in a row and are 3-7 in MAAC and 6-16 overall...Idowu,Turner and Taylor are back but they are not offensive threats...big time problems scoring but vs Griffs amazing defense these 3 will score...the game is at Yanitelli Center and really don't expect a big home crowd... Peter doesn't draw in Jersey City. Think Griffs . Johnson the pt gd is 5'10 and has played well...Griffs coach is Reggie Witherspoons is terrible...I always hate taking the Griffs with him on the bench...but think there 2 scorers despite their coach can win by a few at Peter...Griffs are close to the top in MAAC,.. cannot stumble in New Jersey today.

Explorers have won 4 in a row..think they are playing better after their start.

Two games either ignore or fade MAAC
Iona -6.5 over Niagara *
Both teams are 7-15 and 11-13...what the hell happened to thees two guys...I do know why..they both suck..Iona has lost 4 in a row and yet have 2 of the top 10 players in the MAAC in McGill and Crawford..but cannot play defense...once upon a time when you had the top 3 scorers in the conf on your team you can get away with it..but now no way...everybody wants a piece of Iona now...then the Purple who have Prochet one of the top players in the conf never seeing the ball...just when you think the Purple have turned the corner they lose their last 2 games to Quinn by 11 and get blown out by my Foxes by 21....will close my eyes and take Iona...only because they they are at home and Niagara is still trying to figure out what happened in Poughkeepsie the other nite...

Rider -6.5 over Siena *
Saints have been playing good...they have won 3 in a row and are 12-12 and 7-4 in the MAAC...and I was upset when they fired Patos last yr...I guess I was wrong...new coach kicking ass...then why I am taking Rider...the worst coached team in the conf in Baggett...up 11 with under 4 minutes and they lose to the Griffs,,,on a last second bank shot.. Rider has the most talent.. Vaughn is back..Jordan at the pt is steady...Scott and Allen are ok...playing at home.. broncos home record is solid..think saints will have a tough time in this gym today..

Only reason I'm playing these 2 teams is I spent a lot of time trying to figure them out...a coin flip probably would of been better and a more even chance...

yest finally hit a few jumpers because I've been shooting airballs..at least hit the backboard or rim once in awhile

Thanks EZ and Zip.. Lowell haven't done the Vir game yet... but now injuries are in question..a lean towards UVA but have no idea what the line will be..will do the TCU-KU game for tomorrow nite..think Fort Worth will be rock'in

Recap//not sure if anyone reads my recaps but I have fun trying to explain them...there is always drama..but not on the court yesterday afternoon...in the stands....I like to sit about 3 rows behind the visiting teams bench..I can hear and see everything...but about 10 minutes before the jump ball about 25-30 guys are all hyped up and drunk sit all around me... so I moved about 6 rows back and to the left...they had a few signs saying " Boys Weekend" what ever that meant...well they are all over the Coastal players and coaches...screaming and taunting them...Coastal coaches calls for help... A Tex St campus woman officer goes over to these guys and is trying to talk to them..they are out of control and not listening to her...these guys are saying things that are racial and they have 2 black guys in this group.. Coastal has all black players.Two Coastal players are saying things back and that's all these guys needed..it added to the fire...two guys from the scorers table come over to try to talk to these guys..One of them is the leader and really being diplomatic and saying " we aren't doing anything".. A San Marcus Police officer arrives...a Sargent and he ain't taking no shit...maybe 5'6 and weighs 220 pounds...he was Mexican-American...not sure what some one said but he pointed to the exit at the two ring leaders and said, "I'll handcuff you here or you follow my ass out... the two main culprits were escorted out as people were booing..but don't think the people really knew why or what was happening...the group became very quite and about 6 or 7 girls that were sitting with these guys moved their seats... at halftime in the hallway I see the 2 black guys that were with this group...now the Principal in me comes out..mind your own business..no one got hurt and the main culprits have been ejected...but nooooo.. Its in my blood I guess.. I go over to them and say " you 2 assholes sat there and heard your friends berate the entire Coastal teams with racial slurs..I only repeated what I heard " who's your daddy, where did you get your GED's,look at that hairdo,etc..." So one of them says to me very politely " we didn't say that to them"...So I told them you 2 guys are I'm sure smart why not tell your buddies to cut the shit....they said its a fraternity and we are pledging.. " I said and these are the guys you want to call your brothers...you should be ashamed of yourselves...what would your family at home say if they saw you like this...
Both of those kids play on the football team ...I found out later...anyway hope I got my message across..they were both very respectful to me and I think they were sorry...its to bad it had to take someone to let them recognize there shame...

The game went down to the wire Texas had a 38-23 lead at the half and with 2 minutes they were up 62-56..Texas won by 8 and the line was 6.5...it went down to fouling at the end..either team could of covered...Cliff Ellis is the coach and he has 700-800 wins but at timeouts they have to bring him a special seat with a back so he can sit and talk to the players ...they had an oxygen tank on the bench.. was not sure if it was for him or the team... Cuthberton is big time and tough to stop...think every time he touched the ball they scored or he got an assist...but many times he never touched it...
and in the 1st few minutes Tre Nottingham hit an open 3..he hit another 4 or 5 later...vs UTA last week he never even got one clean look all game...Good UTA defense...sorry for this long ass boring recap...
