YTD RECORD: 45-27 (+17.67 UNITS)

Ended up 2-0 instead of 3-0 yesterday due to the pitching change for Washington. Little mad about that because I wasn't around to catch the change and thought Washington was still a very solid play going against Zambrano with Ohka getting the start for the Nats.

I went with 4 plays for Sunday and will more than likely have a play on the Sunday night game...will post if I do.

FLORIDA -135 (BECKETT VS LIDLE LISTED)
CINCINNATI +110 (ORTIZ VS DAVIS LISTED)
UNDER 8.5 SAN DIEGO -117 (WILLIAMS VS VAZQUEZ LISTED)
MINNESOTA -165 (SANTANA VS COLON LISTED)

ADDED PLAY: WASHINGTON -139 (PATTERSON VS HEILMAN) (2 UNITS)..see post below with short write-up

Good luck to all :thumb:

Adding a play:

WASHINGTON -139 (PATTERSON VS HEILMAN LISTED) (2 UNITS)

A few quick notes:

Love the fact that Patterson will be going against a struggling team in the NY Mets that have now lost 4 in a row. Patterson looks to be coming into his own this season. He has been almost unhittable. He has allowed less hits than innings pitched in all 4 of his starts this season and in 27.2 innings pitched, he has allowed a total of just 3 runs while not allowing any home runs. He has a 0.98 ERA through his first 4 starts.

Met's starter, Aaron Heilman, is not someone you want pitching in pressure situations and it looks like there's going to be plenty of pressure on him today.

Heilman not only will be trying to break the Mets losing streak, but will also be pitching on the Road and of course this is the Sunday Night ESPN game. Let's take a look.

Heilman on the Road this season: In 2 starts he is 0-2 with a 12.00 ERA and has 19 hits and 12 runs in just 9 total innings.
Heilman on the Road in his career: In 10 starts, he is 1-7 with a 7.82 ERA and has given up 63 hits including 13 home runs in just 48.1 innings.

Heilman who has allowed a .277 average to hitters over his career really tends to struggle in the pressure sitations as that average allowed jumps to .322 with runners on base and .326 with runners in scoring position.

For those that don't know, I use the above 2 as a good indicator of a pitchers mental toughness and ability to focus through tough situations and there's a big negative for Heilman in my book.

Heilman also has a career ERA that is 1.3 Runs higher in night games than day games

Bottom line, it's a complete mismatch here and I'll try it for 2 units. Been a rough start to the day, but hopefully it can end strong with an Under in the Zona game and a win here.

Good luck all!
