BUT MY HOMETOWN WINS IT ALL.... HALF OF MY FRIENDS THAT CAME OVER TO WATCH FOOTBALL TODAY ASKED WHY I WAS WATCHING A SL REAL GAME... THEY SAID, "THEY SUCK, THEY'LL NEVER GO ANYWHERE"... t
They didnt even know they were playing in the championship.... And they are sports fans.. (obv not soccer) And they LIVE HERE!!! And paid more taxes to get the RIO TINTO STADIUM this year...
Sad, sad, sad... And I guarantee you, NO PARADE, maybe a handful of peeps at airport, MAX, and they will probably throw the team on our TRAX TRAIN and slowly "parade" them down main street some weekday morning this next week, as a celebration....
Sad. Sad. Sad. We finally get a championship of some kind, and half the state (at least) probably is learning we were in the playoffs or that we did something good!!!!
Sub .500 team wins it all.... The CINDERELLA TEAM FOR SURE... Just to get in the playoffs was a miracle... Had to win 3 straight at the end of the season and have a GROUP of teams LOSE 1-3 games themselves....
And then the playoffs, WAS GIVEN NO CHANCE IN HELL!
Anyone know the payoff if you took at the beginning of the year??? At the beginning of the playoffs????
