I like Virginia because they have better numbers in my 3 most important hoops categories.
In Defensive FG%, Virginia is better YTD at 40.2% compared to Mizzu at 44.3%. Over the last 5 games for each team, Virginia is at 43.1% and Mizzu is at 48.0%.
In rebounding, Virginia leads in YTD numbers with 39.5 boards/gm while Mizzu checks in with 31.6. Over the last 5 games, Virginia sits at 38.8, while Mizzu is at 28.8.
And in free throws, YTD numbers are almost even with Virginia at 71.5% and Mizzu at 71.9%........but over the last 5 games, Virginia is shooting 75.0% from the charity stripe while Mizzu has struggled at 69.0%.
Virginia is 10-0 in non-conference play this season and is 4-0 all time in this series.
