Dec 15 Roethlisberger (questionable, shoulder) appeared to be having velocity issues on his passes during Friday's practice, according to the Florida Times-Union.
Recommendation: Roethlisberger reportedly did not attempt a pass longer that 15 yards during the practice. We expect him to play, but we don't expect him to be very effective. If he can't play, Charlie Batch will take over at quarterback. Check back with us before kickoff to get a final word.

Just got back in....what a pathetic defensive effort by Pitt today. Really thought that would have been the strong point for them today. I was wrong. When they tied it up 22-22 I saw life, but two minutes later Jags had it deep in Pitt territory with very little time left and we all know how it ended. Jags did impress me today. Back next week....
