First off, an apology is in order for posting Minny lastnight and hope that my post did not influence in any way other bettors.
It was clear from the very beginning, that us Minny backers were on the wrong side. I felt like I was watching a Bear commercial bought and paid for by ESPN. The announcers were 4 quarters straight pro Bears and very few good things were ever said about the Vikes, mainly becasue there aren't many good things to say if you watched the same game as I. Figuring that they are more knowledgable than I, I sat sat through 4 quarters of doom, just hoping for a miracle.
But, everytime the cameras showed closeups of the faces of Carter, Moss, and Culpepper, and the coach, Green, I knew in my heart, there would be no miracle last night. I take my hat off to the Bears and their coaching staff, they flat out played the Vikes. They wanted the game badly, and their intensity was obvious from the outset. Trying to figure out how good/bad this Bear team is, may be really difficult, but there is no question regarding their desire to win. Their desire alone, was far above that of the Vikings. Desire alone is not the only reason they won the game. IMHO they were just the much better TEAM. They play as a TEAM.
1. Vikes have no rushing game.
2. Vikes have problems stopping the run.
3. Vikes make too many untimely penalties.
4. Vikes on offense are centered around 3 players. Carter, Moss, Culpepper. 3 guys can not carry a TEAM.
5. Vikes don't have that burning desire in their eyes.
6. Vikes have lost too many players on the offensive side of the ball and defensive side of the ball.
7. Vikes have too much turmoil between Carter and Moss presently to be effective. Moss appears to not even try at times. Putting it mildly.
8. Vikes can't go deep because offensive line can't hold em out, giving Culpepper the needed extra time.

These are just some thoughts I had this a.m. after watching that game. Betting the Vikes was like going to war with one bullet in your gun. This team is just not very good, like so many teams in the NFL. Sure they might win some games, but not many. Nine of tweleve games yesterday were won by the road team. Home field use to mean something, but not anymore. Welcome to parity in the NFL.

I am not very good writing as some of you are, i was just trying to somewhat review last night game and why us Viking backers got smoked.
Good luck on your future ventures, and I for one will stay away from the Vikes.
It makes no sense at all to put good money on a very bad team. Live and learn, BUT NEVER FORGET.

I might add, upon reviewing my concensus picks , I had somehow clicked on the Bears by mistake, what a day.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with the Vikings. It's curious to see how Moss reacts when he's losing - and he gets a half million a game? Carter keeps trying to be the emotional leader of this team but seems to only manage to make things worse. I did notice one thing last night however, Green seemed like the calm in the middle of the storm. I'm wondering if he's got something up his sleeve.

Allnet:

I had my money on Minn also. Like you when the game came on and the camera showed the faces of the Minn sideline, I knew right then the game was lost. No desire, no team, no spirit to win.

Hey I got a idea , if they suck like we know they do, shouldnt we bet against them for the rest of the season for some big cash ?

I think Green has something up his sleeve...
