The Sixers have been excellent at covering 1Qs this season...best in the NBA, by far. They are slightly better in the 1Q at home than on the road and they are on b2b, so not going too big here. There will be better situations to continue playing on this trend in the future, but getting the best 1Q team in the league from an ATS standpoint is worthy of a modest wager.

Yup. Two or three missed layups from point blank would have tied it at the buzzer. This is the downside to 1Q bets, they tend to be high variance, which is why you want to avoid laying any kind of heavy vig on them. I?ve had some vicious 1st quarter beats over the years, including one where a player heaved it from 3/4 court (his own FT line) to lose by a 1/2 point. That was a much bigger bet too:facepalm:
