I have to bed the Cardinals here. Why bet the theoretically profitable bet when they have no chance to win?

Braves -140
Brewers +120

I haven't seen the Brewers lineup this year, and I know the Braves are doing good so far...the bet goes on the Braves.

Marlins -115
Cubs -105

Not only are the Marlins my home team and favorite team, but they won a well-earned victory yesterday. With Beckett pitching, a guy who pitched a complete game in the World Series to win it all against, argurably, the toughest team (fan-wise) in the Majors...I have my confidence in the Fish.

Mets -105
Giants -115

Er, right. Although the loss of Barry Bonds has greatly affected the Giants, they are confident that he will be making a return sooner than later. Giants will win this.

Phillies -145
Diamondbacks +125

My gut instinct was that the D-Backs would win this, and my gut instinct is usually right. Besides, the Phillies (besides having Abreu) aren't too strong this year, and the Diamondbacks are doing well.

and what i gather from your "analysis"..... the nationals have no chance to win. the braves will win because they have a better record than the brewers. the marlins will win because beckett pitched a complete game 2 years ago. the giants will beat the mets because bonds might be coming back in a couple of weeks and the dbacks will beat the phillies because you incorrectly think arizona is having a better year than philadelphia. did i miss anything?

My logic is messed up, yes, but I'm confident about these picks.

Marlins: I was implying that Beckett's performances against not only the Yankees, but the Cubs, both in pressure situations leads me to believe that the Marlins have a good chance to win it.

Good Luck: I don't mind being wished good luck, but if you go to every post and make that two-worder, it's what I call post-whoring.

Updates:

Cardinals 6, Nationals 0. Told ya so.
Braves 5, Brewers 2. Again, Nemmy with the correct pick.
Marlins 3, Cubs 14. Holy shit, that is ****ing nasty.
Mets 1, Giants 4. Maybe it's because the Mets suck.

So far, 3/4. A profitable day. So, to anyone who thinks that my predictions suck - up yours.
