Good Picks

I wave been looking at Ryan Newman all week. If he can keep the wheels on the ground he has a shot at winning it. After reading your message I made a small play at 11-1. Kurt Bush was tops during the final practice. He has not done well the last two races but before that he looked like the driver to beat. I picked up Kenseth even over Johnson at Olympic. GOOD LUCK!

Ding.

You must have had a good day. I keep saying I got to get a new book. 30 cent lines on matchups at SIA really really suck.

Funny thing -- I was saying to the wife, "shitty things keep happening to jimmie johnson this year. That bet ain't dead till the checkered flag comes out." And whattyaknow?

Good race day cash-wise after the debacle I had at Martinsville.

Looking for Busch to finish strong again at Richmond next Saturday.

As far as Newman goes, just bad luck. Primary strategy for people who want to finish races has to be to get away from Steve Park. Should that guy even be in a race car?

Shrimp, Park and one other that scares me Robby Gordon.
Nice day for you. It's starting to look like Kenseth, Busch, and Jr are the young ones trying real hard this year for the big prizes.
They want to win. But there useing there heads and taking what they can. A couple of the other ones seem to burn the tires off have alittle less left in the car at the end. Of course 24,20,18, are showing they will have something to say before it's all over. The ones that I cant figure this year at all are 88,6,40. Rusty is also looing good at times but im not sure if he still has all the drive it takes. I hope so he is a good driver and a decent guy.

Well, Busch now has won 5 out of his last 15 starts so immediately you need to be thinking anything better than 2-1 on him winning is "value". If you throw out a couple plate races (where DEI always wins) then he's taken 5 of the last 13.

Not to mention, he's been top 3 in 7 of his last 15 (I think) so you need to be thinking anything better than even money on him to come in top 3 is good.

He's had good short track runs this year winning Bristol, close second at Darlington, and a bad day at martinsville.

Given that, I'm looking to get down him anything better than even money for him to finish top 3 at Richmond next weekend.

Kenseth had the edge on Jimmie Johnson yesterday but had a terrible pit stop (they never explained why) and slid back. I lucked into that one, but he was right there to take advantage of #48 spinning out.

Jr's also been astounding. Started at the back yesterday, had the stop and go penalty (bad crew! bad crew!) and still finished a strong sixth. He's looking good and also seems to have some amazing equipment. He was just weaving through the field yesterday.

Richmond ought to be fun. It's looking like a night of gambling and drinking and grilling up here.

To me the juice on the matchups is irrelevant. Whether they use 10c, 20c, 30c or even 90c is not relevant since the matchups vary everywhere. Unlike with a game where the matchups are standard at all books, every sportsbook creates their own Nascar matchups. So if I like a matchup I'm going to bet it realising I probably can't bet it anywhere else.

The only exception is when more than 1 book has the same matchup, I'll try to play it at the place where the matchup for my pick is better but that doesn't happen very often.
