4-1 YTD on posted plays

Don't like anything as much as I've liked the last couple weeks, but still like a few.

Giants -7 (bought down from 7.5) - Call me a non-believer but I just don't think this Jacksonville team is very good. They have survived the last two weeks off of sheer luck (against the Texans) and one very well-timed run by MJD (against the Browns). Now they come north to play a Giants team that let a big win against the Eagles slip through their fingers late last week. The numbers should tell the tale here: Giants have the 3rd overall best offense and 2nd overall best defense vs. the Jaguars 19th ranked offense and 27th ranked defense.

Redskins +2 - Gonna keep riding the Skins train as long as they continue to get absolutely 0 respect. They are a .500 team but you'd never know it looking at the lines. They've been favored in exactly one game this season (at St. Louis, which they lost). They've lost 3 games at home this season: the blowout vs the Eagles and then two OT 3-point losses to Houston and Indy. I know that the Vikes have a new coach but I don't really understand how that's suddenly going to make Favre young again. Regardless of what happens, this line is just wrong and still reflects the public's stubborn refusal to accept that this Vikings team is bad, bad, bad.

Bears +4 - If there's one thing we've learned in the NFL this season it's that as soon as a team gets annointed as THE team to beat they inevitably lay an egg. And this is a good spot for the Eagles to do that. Bears worst loss of the season was 17-3 to the Giants, a game that was actually 3-0 at halftime before the Bears turned the reins over to the Todd Collins experiment and got 2 first downs the entire 2nd half. Why bring that up? The Bears is O is pretty bad, but their D gives them a chance to win every game. This one should be close, and I certainly won't be surprised if they pull off the upset.

BOL to all!

Skins game has gone about as I expected, but WTF is wrong with the Giants?!?! Jags rushing is just shredding the vaunted Giants D and they are completing 3rd downs at will. Gonna need a huge 2nd half but I'm already writing this one off. Think I'm gonna lay off of the Giants for the rest of the year; most schizophrenic team in the league: awful the first 3 games, world beaters the next 4, and now awful through the next 2 and a half.

Well a couple of close losses in the early games but the Bears came through for me late.

The more I look the more I like the Chargers +3 tonight. Chargers have a real solid D and get V Jax back tonight while Peyton still has Wayne and then a bunch of also-rans on offense. Think the Chargers can at least keep it close.
