Man did I need that Hawaii win over SMU. . . amazing game to listen to on the radio and even the announcer admitted that he had "friends" who bet on Hawaii and HE needed them to play defense the final few seconds in order to cover the spread. Funny stuff. . . I have a feeling that he had a bet on them.
Anyways, on to Sunday. I was a fool for playing so many damn games on Saturday. . . won't happen again. I had my fun and luckily didn't cost me too much. . . now back to making quality selections:
Best bet will by Maryland first half. . . I assume the spread will be five or six. Maryland has been used to getting out to a huge lead at the half, then coasting in the 2nd half. I believe they will have a similar game in this one. GT has lost a couple interesting games at home. . . however won a game against Cuse. The difference betweeen Cuse and Maryland IMO is defense which should create a lot of problems for Georgia Tech that will not get fixed until the 2nd half. I may go ahead and play Maryland for the game or 2nd half but most certainly will play them for the first half HUGE. I expect a double digit lead at the first buzzer. . . probably around 13.
Next best side on the board is Villanova over UCONN. . . both teams playing great ball right now but I feel that UCONN is favored by 1.5 because of their name and basketball tradition. Nova should get it done at home. Lost to BC at home as a one point dog by eight points, but the game went to OT. Therefore, I believe NOVA will come out hungry to get back on the winning side.
Still considering a strong play on Arkansas as they have done well on the road so far this season. LSU has a great home court advantage, but the only decent team they have played at home is Miami and ended up losing by 7 as a 1 point favorite.
Small plays on NC State taking points over Duke, and the Zags laying a dozen over San Diego. NC State is great at home and I am not convinced that Duke is a superior basketball team! I feel this conference will give them problems and hand them a few more losses before all is said and done. Also feel the Zags will get back on track against San Diego. Zags struggled against Santa Clara, but when in recent history haven't they?!?! Hopefully this ATS loss will drive the line down a couple points for us tomorrow but either way, I'm fairly certain that I'll take them for a small play.
Time to get back to business and no more crap like I played on Saturday :nono:
