Good luck to you too Rocky... Sometimes tremendous value in live wagering.
I wasn't expecting to have so many people at the Harvey's Sportsbook today (this am) as yesterday was kinda a blood bath for so many east bay area people after the Raider ticket failed to cash l(they opened the ballroom and had 9 movie theater screens going on at once for the Raiders. I didn't hear one person clap each time Bengals did anything good.
I went to run some errands and returned to the book to find a line about about 80 ft deep this am prior to kick-off. ... It was moving fairly fast and I was reasonably sure I could get a couple of props in but negative..... I was 10 sec too late. Normally, they would make an exception and work with me but there were so many weekend warriors from the Bay Area that it would have set a bad example and if they do it for one they should do it for everybody. That was OK, I knew the guy fairly well and he's always been a straight shooter (it was my fault
My buddy and I have a ML bet on games that strike our fancy or games that are televised and we think we have a edge on the ML. We don't necessarily play the same wager but NEVER bet against each other. We call it our 'Let er' Buck ML rollover. Concept is fairly simple. I use different sets of numbers and tend to eyeball results for our little boredom roll. We only let it roll, when we are together, and we are drinking, and watching the game together (like I mentioned, our homemade rule) is steeped in tradition 🤤..... OK.. Not, but it's about friendship and entertainment. Like a lot of you, betting on a game and watching it as things develop is certainly a draw and I know many people just looking to make the game interesting My serious bets, I usually never watch, just to check out scores every once in a while (especially at halftime). I'm not a huge in-play bettor but I know guys that are and seem to be pretty successful. The evolution of sports gaming has
At any rate, the last rule about our ML roll-Over is that if the bet cracks $5000 we cash and start all over again. *Another side note rule, juice over -500 is cut-off. We have done ok this year, and the final bets to go over the five dimes wagering (excuse my pun... Tony RIP) are always the most entertaining for obvious reasons. I don't especially get too excited for either a win/loss. Just start over again. I have known this guy from college. It gives us a reason to hang out and we have always enjoyed each other's company. Coincidentally, I played Football in College and he played Basketball, so we share athletic experience and stories.
Not really sure why I shared this anecdote. AND, sorry if I bored anyone to death... Must be the mimosa talking.
