59-47-2 YTD 56%.

Updated Record and Numbers. Picks will come a little later.

Here are some late season observations. Chime in if you wish.

Flip a coin between Illinois and Va and you have 2 of the most overrated teams in the country. I think Frank Williams is afraid of the basketball.

Maryland seems to play to the level of their competition. I think Duke or Kansas would beat them in the tourney.

Cincy is a darkhorse. Their physical play, their defense. Who has guards as good as Steve Logan?

Kansas is downright good. They unscrewed their defense and they are playing at a very high level right now. Burn me at the stake but I think Gooden is better than Boozer.

I think Florida overrated.

Freeze brought up a good point about Oklahoma. Sampson does run those guys into the ground and they are running out of gas. They look like they need a day off. They still can be dangerous.

Oregon can't win on the road=trouble in the NCAA tourney.

Gonzaga is good.

The Big 10 is horrible this year.

Which conference is best?
If you say SEC, Pac 10, ACC or Big 12 ----who is going to argue?

Big East does not have a dominant team.

When is Steve Lavin going to get fired? ( He should after yesterday).

Teams I don't want to play in March: Cincy, Marquette, Duke, Kansas, Pitt, USC, Texas Tech.

Teams I want to play: Iowa, Illinois, Virginia, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri, Connecticut, Alabama.

Ray 1975, believe me no one will want to play "any" SEC team come tourney time!! Top to bottom it's the toughest in the nation hands down. Ky., has already shown it can play with mighty Duke, never discount Fla., they're a sleeping giant with "too much talent", Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss., So. Carol. and the rest are all dangerous on any neutral court. Premium Coaches, Tubby, Billy Donovan, Jim Harrick, Dave Odom, Nolan Richardson, and young guns Buzz Peterson and Gottfried. The SEC will be heard from.

Major: I think the SEC is indeed very good. I just don't have that warm fuzzy feeling about Florida. Kentucky is still somewhat of a mystery to me. They have the horses to run with anyone, but it is all up to Prince. I could see early exits for Ga, and Bama. Just a weird feeling I have. Can't wait till March!!!!
