ATS: 123-86-6 (+41.9)
OU: 66-59-2 (-0.2)
ML dogs: 5-8 (+3.6)

Hornets

The Raptors are coming off a big upset against the Pacers, and now they face a comparable opponent in the Hornets at home.

The Hornets are 6-13 SU (-2.7) and 14-5 ATS as a road dog since last season when seeking same season revenge for a home loss. The Hornets are 4-6 SU and 9-1 ATS in their last ten as a road dog after a road win as a dog.

I have a few quality angles on the Spurs-Nets game, but one big one that stays in my secret treasure chest.

Spurs -2 x4
Hornets +3.5
Spurs OVER 195

Good luck...

Hornets

The Raptors are coming off a big upset against the Pacers, and now they face a comparable opponent in the Hornets at home. There can be some let down in this situation. Since the 2002 season, teams with a win percentage under 40 are just 43-36 SU and 29-49 ATS as a home favorite after a win on the road where they were a dog of five or more. Since the 2000 season, teams with a win percentage under 40 are 20-26 SU and 14-31 ATS when coming off a road win of 4 or less points where they were a dog, when playing as a home favorite in their next game. These trends speak to the fact that the Raptors are coming off a big win as a underdog, where they had to battle hard to win.

Teams playing at home as a favorite in a rematch game when they won as a road dog previously in the same season, are 37-32 SU and 25-43-1 ATS since the 2002 season when they are coming off an overtime game. Teams playing as a home favorite are 16-44 ATS when they are not playing in the first month of the season, when they are coming off an overtime win on the road and their opponent is also coming off a road game (continuity, fatigue setting in).

The Hornets are 6-13 SU (-2.7) and 14-5 ATS as a road dog since last season when seeking same season revenge for a home loss. The Hornets are 4-6 SU and 9-1 ATS in their last ten as a road dog after a road win as a dog.

Whew....I was a bit concerned in the first half, but the second half panned out exactly like it was supposed to ;) Always nice when that happens!

Thanks everyone....

Killa - it does not happen often, usually a couple times each season.

Of course, it is always a huge plus when it comes around with a team like the Spurs. Good to have that much $$ on quality.
