Carolina +3.5

Green Bay coming off a national TV blowout with a game at Tampa Bay on deck. This will be their first road test of the young season. This being the Panther home opener, expect a good effort from Carolina. Typical NFL sandwich. I hate going against a hot Favre, but it looks like a good situation to do it. Green Bay has only given up 6 points but that was against 2 of the worst offenses in the league. I feel Weinke could have a good game here as he?s thrown for 499 yards in 2 games with a 63.5 completion percentage. Carolina 24 ? Green Bay 17.

Denver ?5

Big revenge game here. Baltimore D can be had and this crowd will be looking for payback. Baltimore possibly looking ahead last week but it shouldn?t matter. I don?t think Elvis has what it takes to lead this team without much of a running game. Denver offense hitting all strides ? Greise looking like early season MVP favorite if he can stay healthy. I don?t think Denver will have to put a lot of points up to cover this but they might score a lot more than people think. Denver 27 ? Baltimore 10.

New England +12.5

Line definitely inflated due to the Bledsoe injury. Historically, usually a close game with the home team winning the last 4. Colts offense is superb but feel Pats can keep it close with Brady. This kid could be a good QB with some playing time under his belt. He was very impressive in pre-season going a combined 31-54-384 with 2 TD?s and no interceptions. Indy 27 ? New England 23.

Minnesota +2.5

Minnesota needs this game bad. I feel their offense gets a little better today. TB defense no slouch obviously but have yet to be tested this year. Minny has won the last 3 in the dome covering 2 and pushing the other. Running game is a question mark but Bennett is a good runner and should have a decent day. TB allowed only 31 yards in the air against Dallas, but hey, that was Dallas. Hopefully Carter?s sideline ranting will fire up this offense. Minnesota 24 ? Tampa Bay 16.
