1/2 hour snow yesterday coming down in buckets.....then rain :00hourthen flurries...then real hard rain storm throughout the night and early morning.
little to no damage around the house...ripped the tarp from my lawn trailer ..put it back on this morning..
shyt coming in here{Va.Beach} at 1pm and staying til 1AM...
WINDS AT 29MPH..
was it AR that suggested Puerto Rico for old people living ..

AIN'T GOOD FOR A DAMN THING...NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING..
it`s a literal blizzard(the wind is intermittent here..film of ocean city makes the wind look more like a hurricane..that looks nasty)....that said,so far so good...hate this f`ing wind but thinking maybe the buffeting winds are a good thing(seems to be blowing some of the snow off the roof of the shed...haven`t gone out far enough to see the roof of the house...the snow is overhanging the front edge of the roof)...no icicles yet..guess that comes when the freeze and thaw cycle begins(did a makeshift insulation of the attic ladder-door with a blanket,a heavy yard bag and some weather stripping...probably should get some insulating foam after this is over and do it right....don`t know why I didn`t do it years ago....
after a quick steo-out,it seems like it`s a pretty dry snow(all the forecasts were calling for a wet,heavy snow)....shit doesn`t seem to be clinging to the trees and wires like it did 6 years ago ..the arborvitaes and other bushes are still standing(as opposed to 2010 when everything was crushed under the weight of the snow...that was horrible..lots of stuff completely destroyed....several top rails on the split rail fence buckled during that storm)...
they`re saying 15 inches so far...still another 12-15 hours to go....was wondering if the cardinals made it to Carolina early for sunday`s game already?.......if not,they`re cutting it pretty close....that can`t be a good thing(even though I`m seeing it`ll be in the 40`s tomorrow down there)...
I have a guy with a snow blower scheduled to pop by tomorrow(I'm watching those m.f.`ing games unless we lose power,f-ck the snow).........IF we keep power,the roof stays intact and the weight of the snow doesn`t break us off from the continent and float us to Europe,i think we`ll be o.k.....:mj09:

bad here in PA delaware and NJ we got 18 " already more than predicted and this shit is going to keep hammering us until the AM around 3 or 4 am .............fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkk

update:...went out to start one of the cars and clear the back door.....
it`s much worse than I thought..it`s 20+ inches at least.....shoveling is one thing....moving around in that deep snow is another.....I think I`m in pretty good shape for my age....but I tired real fast just trying to walk in that shit...going from the front of the house up a small hill to get to the backdoor was a chore....and the snow is heavier than I thought....my feet froze really fast and that never happens....
not sure whether the gusting wind and whiteout conditions made me tire so fast or just lifting your feet and legs in and out of the snow did it....I knocked a little bit of the snow hanging off the roof with a long pole I had but I couldn`t get it all(the aluminum pole I was using was no match for that mess)........then I hear on my little pocket radio some guy had a heart attack and died shoveling....that was it for me...
I said f-ck it...I`ll wait for some help tomorrow....
this actually is every bit as dangerous as 2010.....anybody that reads this in the mid-atlantic area,don`t fuck around with this shit in these conditions...
