Another pleasing and winning - don't think there's any difference - Super 12 weekend. I felt going into the weekend that the under-fire NZ sides would give us good value and so it proved, with only the pathetic Blues letting us down. Particularly pleased with the Reds' road cover as a result of some good homework and ATS record-keeping.

The NRL continues to be hard yakka as we fall below the Mendoza line for the first time since week one. At present, Running to Stand Still - just threw that one in there especially for Bonovox

In retrospect, hesitancy cost us as I held back on two plays I fancied - Roosters pk and Storm +13.5 - so I'm a little peeved that we could have done better. Still, next week awaits with fresh challenges.

Glad to see you're all enjoying the posts; should get the opportunity at work and home this week to give a few more write-ups than last weekend - gained a few Brownie pts at home this weekend for washing the car, taking the kids to the park etc

Really appreciate the feedback; keep 'em coming - even you Redsfann

Anders,

Looks like we do have a lot in common. Both from NZ. Freakishly similar picks in the Masters (which didn't go to well unfortunately). But the biggest challenge we face is doing enough work around the house to keep the wife happy so we can sit on the computer for 5 mins without getting hassled !!!!

LMAO Cartman...

What hurts most is the fact that I have 10 thumbs and changing a litebulb represents a major technical triumph for me

I neared certain death on Saturday when trying to earn Brownie points in the garden and ended up nearly chopping down my wife's Camelia - all trees and weeds look the friggin same to me.

She says "Weren't you listening properly when I told you which one to cut?"

Didn't have the heart - or the spine - to tell her "Of course not, I was busy trying to work out if the Reds would cover the spread."

She does well to put up with me really

Anders,

You crack me up.

Have the exact same problem in our garden.

First of all she drags you out the front door with your NRL team hot on attack, 2 mins to go, and 2 points behind. You have just stumbled across a massive bet in the upcoming Super 12 match and your chances of getting on the computer to back them are gone.

Then you are confronted with this awful blur of green. She tells you to weed "over there". Some are apparently plants. Some are apparently weeds. Being a punter I often take the even money chance that I am infact pulling out the weed but to date I am travelling around 12-17 (so about 5 units down).

Then you try to have a sneaky look through the window to catch the score in the top corner of the TV but the glare is too much to make out the score. You claim a sudden urge to go the toilet and race inside for the final 30 seconds to see your team knock on over the line and your cash down the drain.

Oh what a battle it is. Not only having to outsmart the bookie but the wife as well !!!!
