HIGHLANDERS vs HURRICANES

This game promises to be a beauty!! The Hurricanes are about to fulfill their potential, and a ten point start is too much for me.

CRUSADERS vs BULLS

The Crusaders welcome back their Fijian winger Vunibaka, and Ben Blair is expected to make a comeback. The Bulls travel without injured fullback Jaco Van Der Westhuizen.
Crusaders made themselves the only Super 12 team left with a 100% record after defeating the Brumbies in a narrow fought contest. The Bulls had a week off last week to recover from their 50 point mauling at the hands of the Highlanders the previous week.

The Crusaders are a force to be reckoned with and are sure to be in the shake up at the end of the season. Their only flaw is in not scoring enough bonus points, which leaves them 4th in the table despite their 100% record. They are over reliant on the boot of Andrew Mehrtens but have enough talent to score tries at will. The Bulls one performance this season was in scoring six tries against the Brumbies, despite losing. We expected a bit of a revival but they were duly slaughtered by the Highlanders in South Africa a fornight ago, and things seem back to normal. Put your mortgage on Crusaders winning, but conceding a handicap of over thirty points does not attract me.

NO PLAY :nono:

REDS vs STORMERS

Scrum half Sam Cordingley is out for the Reds and is replaced by Jacob Rauluni. The Stormers are unchanged from their loss against the Brumbies but do include Breyton Paulse on the bench after he is recovering from a leg injury.
The Reds lost away to the Hurricanes in the last round, while the Stormers sat out the last round after being defeated at home by the Brumbies.

The South African sides are struggling badly this year. The Stormers are probably the better of those teams but cannot expect to be serious contenders. The Reds backline are simply crying out for the ball. There is so much talent in the backs that it is a wonder why they have kept things tight in their previous games. A major factor must be the weather but they will have no problems with rain tomorrow in Brisbane. It is make or break for the Reds now. If they lose this then it will be a major blow. The handicap looks about right but if they play to their potential then there is no reason why the Reds wont cover. The only thing stopping them will be stern resistance from the Stormers.

SHARKS vs BLUES

The Sharks team is once again decimated by injuries, and will hope to see Springbok Mark Andrews back as soon as possible. A big boost for the Blues as explosive Fijian winger Caucaunibuca is fit for the first time since they opening day drubbing of the Hurricanes.
The Blues hit two succesive home victories, the latest being an impressive victory over a strong Waratahs outfit. The Sharks sat out last week after losing their opening five games.

Quite simply the play of the week. The Blues were simply a little disappointing after promising so much in Round One. However, their season is not over and after two succesive wins will be looking to put together a streak. The fact that they have such an outstanding exciting winger back in Caucaunibuca makes this play even more attractive. They will be looking for bonus points here and should make the handicap of just three points look like a joke.

CATS vs CHIEFS

The Cats still have most of their Springbok stars out with injuries. Their one real boost this week is the return of Andre Vos who will start from the bench. However, be sure that he will play a part tonight.
The Cats come back in Round seven after a lay off where they showed a bit of promise in going down to the improving Hurricanes by only nine points. The Chiefs stunned Super 12 last week defeating the Highlanders on their own patch.

Again I like a play here. The Chiefs are far from dead and buried. They were very impressive last week against the Highlanders, and have to continue in that form if they are to trouble the top half of the table. I expect the Cats to get better after starting with tough away games, and with a weeks rest behind them they will look for a revival here. Andre Vos is sure to inspire them and they might be a team to play later on in the season, but I dont expect their revival to begin just yet.

2 POINT WIN-CHIEFS (scratch) at 5/6 with BETDIRECT ;)

Crooky, Did you manage to get on at scratch with Bet Direct - (I know the 0 lasted 2 seconds at Coral), when I spoke to them I was told minimum trebles (twice! - first operator wasn't very convincing) + website wouldn't take it either.
If you got on then please let me know as then I'll ring up + give them some
