CRUSADERS vs STORMERS

The Crusaders have shown the Stormers the upmost respect by picking their strongest side. Back come the likes of Mehrtens, Vunibaka, and co. However the Stormers are no mugs. They lost a thriller in Queensland last week, against a team with superb backs, and although their defence was not up to much, their offense was very impressive. I think they can grab a couple of tries against the Crusaders, but I expect them to go down to the boot of Andrew Mehrtens again. I have the Crusaders to win by about ten points, so I will risk a play on the Stormers with eighteen points.

1 POINT WIN-STORMERS (+18) at 5/6 with STANJAMES ;)

REDS vs BULLS

REDS vs BULLS

The Reds attacking capabilities are endless. Their backline is one most international sides would be proud of, never mind that of a Super 12 team in midtable. However they defence must be questioned after conceding 43 points last week at home, although incredibly they still won. The Bulls bring in some new faces who will be eager to do well, and their determination should get the Bulls a couple of tries at least. Lets face it, a team who score six against the Brumbies must have a chance of nicking a few against the Reds. I am taking the Bulls here with a 34 point start. That means that the Reds have to defeat the Bulls by more than the Crusaders managed at home last week. Never the less, put your home and your Mrs on a Reds victory!

2 POINTS WIN-BULLS (+34) at 5/6 with BETDIRECT ;)

CATS vs BLUES

I said last week that the Cats may be a team to play later on in the season as their better players return. On the otherhand, I picked the Blues as my bet of the season last week, and was let down by their hugely frustrating lack of consistency. Had the Blues been at full strength, then I would pick the Blues conceding two points here. However, with Ron Cribb, Caucunibaca out, and a few more doubtful, you can forget it. So a play on the Cats then??? No way. Ok they have Andre Vos back this week, but I want to see an improvement in their performances before I start posting picks on them.

NO PLAY :nono:
