Really fancy a couple this week - so upping the stakes a touch
Can't play Highlanders v Brumbies - I had it at Brumbies +4, there's so many pros and cons to taking each side that it'd be far more sensible to sit it out.
4pts Blues (again!) v Sharks (-15 Sunderlands) - this is a crazy price anyway + I hope it's there in the morning when I ring up . I'd still be a big player -19 or 20 anyway though. True, the Blues will fail to cover a big handicap sooner or later, but barring the disaster at Carisbrook, they've looked different class. The Sharks look the best SA side at present and had a good win at the Chiefs. However, they were turned over by the Crusaders last week + I have the Blues as a 15pt better side.
3pts Reds v Cats (-10 Skybet, -12 Chandler) - opposing Cats on travels for 3rd week in a row, getting beaten by 31 by the Chiefs was a terrible result + am confident that the Reds, back in Brisbane can manage a double figure victory. The Cats have been conceeding plenty too, which we obviously need to cover the Handicap. Only worry is that the reds have had to travel back from SA.
3pts Bulls v Crusaders (+10) Bet Direct - Great result for the Bulls last week + they will surely be full of confidence even though Mehrtens returns for Canterbury. I had the Crusaders as slight favourites + feel that 10pts is giving them too much respect in a foreign country. Both sides have played at NSW recently, the Bulls only losing by 7 more points - only a small guide I know, but not enough to give away 10pts + home advantage in my opinion.
also going to have a sneaky 1pt on Chiefs (+7) v Stormers on a hunch
Fingers crossed for a good week
