Well here we go ! First Super 12 bets of season, I'll be happy to get anywhere near last seasons success rate, but my ratings are up + ready to go so here goes! :D
(bets are on a 1 to 5pt scale as usual)

3pts Blues (-10) V.Chandler - I suppose it's a lot of points to give away when there are 2 supposed top drawer teams in action ( + more worryingly, a bad weather forecast) but the form of the 2 sides this year just doesn't compare. The Blues have won away at the Waratahs and Chiefs (both no pushovers) and hammered the Crusaders
 and Reds at home. Compare this with the Brumbies, with wins at the Reds and against 2 S.African teams at home, plus 2 away losses in S.Africa. Ok they bounced back against the Bulls, but if that result was last season no one would've batted an eyelid. Blues look comfortably the best outfit this year + I'll pay the 10pt start to get with them

2pts Waratahs (-9) v Reds Sporting Odds - will excuse NSWs bad day at the office last week to take on the Reds who have been the Leagues most disappointing team so far. Admittedly they've not had any easy games, but I still had the 'cap at +16.

1pt Crusaders (scr) v Highlanders Coral - wasn't going to play this one (had it as Crus -2) but the Highlanders have some injury problems so I'll risk a point. :p

For what it's worth I had the other 2 games as 'Canes by 7 and Cats by 6.

Good luck to all

Blues 41 Brumbies 15 :D :D

Despite the wet conditions the cover never really looked in much doubt. Fingers crossed for other games.:)

Hoss great start this morning....easyBlues win again....can anybody stop them???

The Waratahs do look a stand out bet tomorrow morning. However, there is a lot of neddle in this fixture, and unbelievably the Waratahs have never beaten the Reds at Super 12 level!! That alone is enough for me to stay away.

Crusaders game looks a tough one to call. Mehrtens loss tempts a play on the Highlanders, but as you already pointed out, they too have players missing.

Hurricanes are too inconsistent to bet against the Chiefs, who themselves look a good team this year. If I was having a bet, then it would be the Cats against the Sharks. Cats would probably have won last week, had it not been for the 14 men factor. However, I have not been able to put the time in this week, so I am going to pass on the Super 12, and concentrate on Six Nations rugby.

Good luck....I will be cheering you home! ;)

Waratahs 23 Queensland 35
'Canes 24 Chiefs 14

2/1 on the weekend for a 1.3pt profit - nothing spectacular but a profits a profit. :D
